I have had success with the 148 and haven't experienced issues that others have had. That is the main reason I choose sfi files. They work well on my device.

Ok, I've got everything running and am encountering the flickering on QuickLaunch...is that a fixable problem w. v7?

If you have quicklaunch 2.0 or higher there is a built in flicker fix. Bring up the ql menu then hit your BB button and select ql options. Scroll down and choose flicker fix

Been running 7.1 with .148 radio for a couple of days, and noticed a reasonable amount of battery and memory drain. I've noticed that my reception with .148 radio has been sub par as well.

I'm currently giving 7.1.3 a shot with .132 radio, and shrunk OS.

So let's see how that goes.

I think with the radio from 132 you will notice better reception, batter and memory. Let us know how it goes.

so does the new hybrid fix the issue with suretype....haven't been able to sit down and download it yet...and link for swap a radio....sorry another thing what would the numbers say if it is done correctly?

Just out of curiosity... I forgot how to tell what radio you're sporting.
Just now getting over one helluva migraine, so it's rather hard to concentrate on things.... plus I have the added bonus of a two year old in his terrible's.

Yes 7.1.3 fixes the suretype issue some members were having.

Go to option>about on your phone and the Platform number is your radio code

ok so right now it says 151/181 and that is the one with sure type issues/148 radio.....so if i swap to 132 it will say the same thing?

Nope if you swap to .132 it should say .151 /.162

I just tried and it said no wireless updates available.

No problem. You will probably have to wipe your phone because I don't think DM will recognize it with the hybrid because it using some components of 148. So it thinks you already have it installed.

You also need to install v7.1.3 then swap in 132. Just swapping the radio won't do it.
