I upgraded to 7.1u2 yesterday and everything seems to be working fine with one exception: I can't change my sound profile. I am using the new BBOS ampd theme and haven't tried yet switching to the stock theme. I select the Sounds icon, then click on "Set Ring Tones/Alerts" and nothing happens. The other selections in that menu appear to work. Similarly, if I go to Options -> Ring Tones/Alerts nothing happens when I select that menu item. It highlights, but no action is taken. Has anyone else seen this before?

Yeah I had this happen once before and the only way I could resolve the issue was by wiping and reinstalling the hybrid. I tried everything and that was the only result that worked.

I got rid of the clocks. Turn off memory cleaner. I disabled it and now I don't see any clocks. I had them all the time.

I still get some clocks, not as many as before but still some

Thanks, JL. I should admit I tried to cheat and not do a complete wipe before I installed 7.1u2 so I wouldn't have to get re-added to the BES. ops: I'll go back and redo it with a clean wipe first. :hail:

Ok, after having this running for a day I've noticed my battery seems to be draining faster than 7.0. Anyone else noticing this?
Also seems to be a little more fluctuation in the signal. Was anything changed in this area? (Believe the radio would be the only thing to affect this correct?)
Can't help feeling like something got botched with this install.. I don't know how though.
I even went as far as to delete the 148 OS folder and reinstall before I installed the 7.1 patch ..
also wiped the phone and manually reinstalled all apps.. hmmm
Noticed SMS and MMS are now combined .. when did this happen??

I had many spinning clocks with .148/7.1.2. I found, as some others here have, that swapping in the .132 radio virtually eliminates the clocks.

glad to hear it's working for you now. I'm curious to know did you shrink your os and do you have memory cleaner disabled.
hey rufunky, if you follow this path it'll tell you if your were successful
options > advance options > applications > bb menu button > modules - with V7.1.2 loaded you'll see a number of 18.104.22.168 files along with .148 and .151
there are a couple different ways to help lessen the spinning clock issues when you repost I'll walk you through a couple.
