BBC just pointed out that it's the files in 151 causing the issues. So running 148 won't have this problem.

BBC this is THE best hybrid out there, downloaded over .132 and have minimal issues, haven't experienced the green phone button issue, or haven't really paid attention. Thanks a lot for all your hard work on these awesome hybrids!!!

I was having the green button issue running BBC's 151 v7.1.2 with the 148 radio.
I wiped and installed v7.1.2 with a fresh copy of 132.
when I go to about it say
v4.7.0.151 (Platform 4.0.0.181)
Is that what it should read?

Joe you still have 148 installed. It should say v4.7.0.151_p4.0.0.162

That is what I thought but I completely eliminates 148 off my PC the executed the 132 file and the used the hybrid. I just cannot figure where I made the mistake. I will have to wipe and start again

Thanks for all your help and for that of other I get here

After you install the 4.7.0.132 and before you install the Hybrid. Go to C://Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files and open the 4.7.0.132 os, then open the CDMA folder, rt click and cut the sfi file, exit out to your desktop, rt click and paste. Now install the Hybrid. After you install the Hybrid go back to your desktop and rt click and cut the sfi file you put there earlier. Now go to C://Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files and open the 4.7.0.132 os, then open the CDMA folder, rt click and paste, yes to overwrite. Now you can run apploader and it will install the Hybrid with the 132 sfi file.

Or you can do what Bryan suggests below.

The hybrid will overwrite with the .148 OS so it doesn't matter what your base os is. Just use Swap A Radio to swap in the .132 radio and you should be good to go

Good morning fol;ks. I was just looking at this thread and I see that this is V7.1 update 2. I installed V7.1 a couple weeks ago, is this something new? I apologize if this has been addressed already.

Yeah this is something new. While not a huge improvement 7.1.2 add some minor improvements all around and so far our members seem quite pleased with it. Here is the link in case you want to give it a go.

Thanks for the info. Any idea what improvements? I am tickled to death with V7.1 already and each time I upgrade, I spend alot of time gettiing everything straight. I have zero complaints and I do not use any themes, nor do i play music, watch movies or use my BT. I just use it for a phone and ocasionally use documents to go.

How do you turn off the Memory Cleaning? I can't seem to find out how... I'm having the same issue with the phone button.

options > security > memory clean > disable

So what's the difference with this version.

Ugg, my browser is no where to be found after this clean wipe and install.. I know I read about this before but I forget what was done to correct this. =(

Check in your applications....Resend your service books Options>advanced options> host routing table>bb key> register now, then do a battery pull and you should be good to go

Does the hybrid have the 148 radio in it? I have erased all the os's except 132 from my PC and did another wipe and installed I am still showing platform 181. In the only CDMA folder on the drive the file says rim0x04001404.sfi.

I have Resent service books and rebooted and still nothing .. I will give her another try. (I guess third times a charm.. browsers back)

I know this was noted somewhere in here but if I'm using 7.1 update 2 over 4.7.0.148 my phone should read what? v4.7.0.151 Platform 4.0.0.181 ??
