Thread: I need help installing v6 hybrid

I have been trying to install v7 for 2 hrs. This is like my 6th time installing it. I wiped the device before every install. It seems to work fine every time except the transitions from .151. The OS runs good but others have told me that their storms do the transition everytime no matter what. Mine seems to only do it sometimes. I don't know what else to do I'm pretty knowledgeable about computers and such so any advice would be great!

If it makes you feel any better, I don't see the transitions every time either. I haven't worried about it because they are so subtle that it really doesn't bother me. I see them about 80% of the time.

are you just trying to see if anyone did anything different then what you have been doing?

same here lol to tell you the truth i don't think i even notice it when it does happen

Maybe I was misinformed earlier, I was told by at least two people that the transitions happen on their phone 100% of the time. I have tried a few different ways (shrinking, not shrinking, restarts after the wipe and install, ect.).

I was one of those and I am sticking to my guns when I ran it it happened all the time for me.

I think it's kind of a hit and miss it misses a lot on my phone lol which don't bother me all that much, but i have heard some people are having problems with it not working, and the way they got it to work was to wipe the device and reload the OS

I am with Bryan and I see transitions 100% of the time. It's very noticeable at least to me.

Rfirmi, the transitions do happen on v7, they are very glitchy though and not smooth, which is still RIM's issue and I am sure they are working on making them smoother. I agree here. The transisitions are about 85% of the time for me, but the OS is slamming and faster than all of the others. It's well worth running
