Thread: Voicemail Indicator

I'm running 4.7.0.151 (Crackman v7 Hybrid) and am having an issue with my voicemail indicator. Whenever someone leaves a message there is no indicator on the home screen. Has anyone seen this?

Thanks! Yes I'm using SlideBerry Zoom Theme for the blackberry storm. But I had this issue way before I installed that theme....even with different OS's.

try going back to the stock theme and then make a batt pull and see if that bring your icon back, this usually happens with non stock themes

Hey rsl5150,

Give this a try....Dial into your voicemail account and I beilive it is option #4 that you are looking for but if it isn't. You need to turn your voicemail notification on. You can activate it through your voicemail account....One of the prompts will direct you to the Voicemail notification

The only indicator I get is a missed call icon.

have you tried calling your voicemail and going into options and see if your indicator is set to on? That is what Mepascal is referring to.

Rats....that didn't work. Opt #4 repeats the message. The only other options are to save, delete, and forward. :-(

What carrier are you on?

Maybe just listen through all the prompts until you get the one for Voice Mail Notification. It will be something towards the effect of changing your notification options.

Verizon. Am I missing something? I dialed *86 then entered my pin. I also tried dialing my full number and then the pin.

You should press 4 for personal options then press 1 to turn your indicator on or off. I just called and those were my steps

Try calling your phone from a landline and try it

Ok...I finally figured it out!! Log into you VM and just wait approx. 10 seconds after the operator stops talking. Then you can choose option #4 to turn the indicator on/off. I would like to thank each one of you for all of your help!!!!! This has been driving me nuts for a while. You guys ROCK!!

I got this...To listen to your messages dial 1 to change your personal options press 4. I pressed 4. Then I got to change your personal notification press 1. Then I pressed 1.
