Thread: V7 with .132 Radio Code Findings

Well, I DL'ed a fresh .132 and ran the v7 and installed it there. but you're saying - even tho it's the .132, after running the v7 - it becomes the .148 radio code,correct? so then after running this, i have to overwrite the .148 radio code with the .132 radio code,then the apploader will rcognize there's an upgrade - or downgrade,correct?

Sorry disregard my comments about wiping. If you did wipe your phone down to 507 error and DM or loader is still not seeing it, that usually means that there is something corrupt with the OS on your PC. You can unistall it with add/remove programs and try again.

Now when its done installing and the phone boots up. go to options/about and it should read v4.7.0.151 (Platform 4.0.0.162) if the .132 loaded correctly.

Hmmm...I think I thought I loaded v7 over .132, but I'm showing v4.7.0.151 (Platform 4.0.0.181). Must've had a brain fart and run v7 over .148? In any event, running nicely.

v7 installs the .148 radio into which ever base you use. your gonna have to swap them out, its a pain in know

If it's running nicely, you might want to leave it alone....and if you have issues, just use swap-a-radio to go to .132 radio

Ok, thanks. I think I'll leave it as is (whatever 'it' is) for now, as it's running pretty nicely. But tomorrow's another day...

Yeah, it was a bit time consuming - but I removed all OS from my computer, installed .132, ran the v7 hybrid,then used swap-a-radio to switch over the .132 radio,and finally,installed. All's well so far - thanks for all yer help guys! Much appreciated once again.

Well, it is another day, and I swapped out the .148 radio for the .132 (using Swap-A-Radio which worked flawlessly). .148 while fast, seemed to have a bit of a lag. So, we'll see.

Sooo, currently running v7 over .132, with above-noted radio swap.

i'm using straight .132/v7 i haven't swapped the radio....but i've been thinking about a .141 radio swap or a .132 radio swap. i wonder what parts of .132 are still remaining after the v7 install

To answer your question 1 or 2 files if I remember correctly the rest are 5.0+ .148 and .151

I used Swap-A-Radio to change 132 instead of 148 (I did everything like your guideline). After that I went to options/about, I still saw 4.7.0.151, Platform 181. So now My BB is running 132 radio or still 148?

i just set up 132 into my PC (I kept 148 and V7 there).
After that I went to:
C/program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader/.162.then I did any steps as your mention. But...

The easiest thing you can do it delete the .132 OS off your PC
Run swap browse to your .148/v7 OS folder then select .132 on Swap, let it download the Radio for Lyricidal's server then once you get the confirmation box then launch loader.
