I see no references to 9500 devices?
If you do this, don't just delete the Java files & just replace them with the v7 Java files. Copy the v7 files & paste them into the .151 Java folder, then click on "Yes to All" This way if there's any files in your Java folder that you need, you'll still have them, you only want to replace what's different ...& don't forget to delete Vendor.xml

Try deleting both DM through Control Panel/Add Remove Programs, then download DM 4.7 from Blackberry.com. Try that & see how things go.

Clear you browser cache on phone and on DM....on phone, open browser, bb key, cache operations, clear cache....if that still fails....open DM, click on backup/restore, click advanced, select browser cache, click clear....then do you back up as you normally would.

    Bravo BBC\BBOS

Very, very nice job BBC! I'll post more after a day or so of usage. Performed the following with no problems...
    backup
    wipe phone - JL_Cmder
    unistalled 148-V6
    reinstalled leaked 148
    ran V7 download exe
    disable internet
    delete vendor file
load 148.V7 included only necessary apps - no 3rd party
    3 - 1 min batt pulls
    restored data using desktop software
    loaded following 3rd pty:
Apply berry custom i-blocks theme - works flawlessly
    quick pull 2
    mobipocket
    yet another 1min batt pull
    booted up around 50mb mem

AWESOME JOB BBOS! What a fine community we have here!!!

Check this pic taken with my storm - seriously! This is from a lobster dinner cruise just off the coast of Cozumel...
(update: well I'll have to find a place to host this or mail it to someone who can, sorry folks)

    Dear all,

Please note I used the "Java Copy/paste" method to update my Storm running the .151 and as of now, everything is OK...

Thank you for the great work.

read through several pages in this thread but dont see this specific problem here..
When the hybrid is about 1/2 through installing in the .148 directory, I get the following error message:
"Java/net_rim_bb_medialoader_ringtones_9500cod. This file contains invalid data.(error 21fc)You will have to run this utility again to completely install BBcrackman V7"

I have rebooted, tried to re-install it, uninstalled everything, registry cleaned, temp file cleaned, and still, the same message comes while trying to install the hybrid into the .148 directory...Anyone else have this, and any ideas how to get it to work?

    thanks so much!

Just replacing the sfi with the .151 sfi file should do... right..??
or ... do you have a seperate version for 9500 users..??

It seems like a file system corrupt. Try a chkdsk /f to fix file system structure on your disk.

    It worked for me :
French BlackBerry Storm 9500 on SFR and BES
I just replaced files in the Java folder with files from v7. I wiped the BB and installed it.

nah, its not a windows/pc issue, it has to do with the program itself..

    maybe Crackman has an idea...

Have you tried uninstalling ALL OS from pc, restarting and then starting fresh?

    So i installed everyting now.

    I have a 9500 ( 151 ) directory and a crackman directory now.
Should i just copy the CDMA and JAVA folder over the 9500 (151) folders ?

Then it should work ? or is copying the CDMA folder from the 9500 (151) Back to the Crackman folder enough ?

I am on BES do i need to get a new activation code from our IT department afterwarts ?

Please some advise as i am unsure what to do.
