Sounds like a hardware issues as opposed to being OS specific. Try wiping and reloading your OS. If the problem persists than get a replacement device from vzw

My 2cents on this:

I'm on VZW and also don't experience most of these issues with the hybrids or the straight Os's.
One might speculate that although many are "wiping" their device prior to installing, they've previously done a backup of their entire system (not just the third party apps) and then restoring same to the new OS. While this seems reasonable, the .151 OS appears to be quite different with respect to folder assignment (look at your ringtones, especially those you added----they might not be where they used to be) and in other features. In fact, .151 offers an entirely new set of folder creation options as I recall.
So, I believe it's really important to not only wipe prior to installing but to also only selectively restore user settings from your backup (messages, contacts). Everything else should be re-setup from scratch.

I went to the site & it's not for gmail which I have. I tried again a few minutes ago and got the same "problem reaching the server". I'm getting an adequate signal & receiving emails.

I've have same issue, but it is not consistant behavior, i would have to say about 10% of time and that was answering from a locked state. I did do the wipe and restored all my settings and 3rd party apps. Maybe i'll try what toytooii suggested this weekend and setup from scratch.
