Not a NOOB, but a NOOB question about hybrid installation

Well, I have a great perfectly working copy of ,148 installed on my 9530 and my pc; would LOVE to try a hybrid, but don't want to wipe and start fresh, if I dont have to..
Can I install the hybrid on my pc, on top of my existing .148, the just run loader, and have it re-install 148 + the hybrid on my existing phone setup, or do you have to wipe everything clean and then start anew?
    Sorry about the NOOB question..

    Thanks!

if you have straight .148 installed on your pc/phone then you can just install the hybrid over .148 on your pc and then update your phone...

dont be sorry, we are here to help

Thanks, Laney, that's what I thought, but I wasn't sure!

Will I lose my third party apps for sure when I "add" the Hybrid to my config, or, you never know until you do it? :lmao:

Always back up ur third party apps as well as your phone. You never know what can go wrong. Its easier to take a few moments to back up all of your things than feeling the frustration of losing everything. Believe me... I know

Speaking of avatars, I'm glad Stief is finally using a self portrait.

Hi wase, if you are going to put your first hybrid on i would wait till Sunday and install bbcrackmans v7, i think you will be very happy with that, just hold off the extra 4 days especially if 148 is running well. The wait will be worth it

Check this out for backing up your third party apps. I always use this method, hasn't failed me yet.

Just tell him to do something (trash, laundry, dishes, etc.), & when he doesn't (which will inevitably happen) take his comp away, and voila! ...you now have a pc for as long as you need! lol

And if he DOES do these things, then you have the duration of him completing these tasks to use his comp. Either way, you're set. lol

well, the "problem" is he is a very compliant kid, and does everything we ask of him without any hassles, usually...
I used to use his pc when he went to school, but today was the last day of school, so that is out!

The next time I need it is Sunday, when we get the general release of the V7 Hybrid, so until then, i dont really care...
