Thread: Wiping unlocked storm 9500

hi.
i use a Vodafone UK unlocked storm 9500 in bangladesh without any BIS or BES...
i don't have the release codes for my phone.
but, when i see you guys writing about wiping your phone clean before installing a new OS... i want to wipe my phone clean too... but at the same... there's this fear that the phone might become locked again... and as i don't have the release keys or any of the BB supported operator SIMs... i may not be able to unlock it again...

Is there a solution for this..???

Also... what is the safest way to wipe clean...??
and after wiping it clean.... how do i get back my BB to its fully functional form again...??

To wipe the phone is very easy....You can use this program: http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/3...nife-beta.html

Just make sure you back up first and back your 3rd party apps first. You should be good to go. As far as it locking up, I don't know, since I am on vzw...but let me see if I can find out for ya

Once unlocked it will be unlocked at all times, no worries wiping doesn't lock it back
