Can you give us some idea of time frame for the release? Trying to decide if it is work all the hassle of loading your current release if this is coming soon.

I installed the .114 Hybrid on friday, took all of 30-45 mintues start to finish and I have to agree with everyone else it is the best OS my storm has ever seen, many thanks to BBcrackman.

Odd thing is today I lost my LED indicator (all 3 colors) even though I have all set to run in the ON position, resaved and did a batt pull but no light. I also noticed that the dimmer is working as the screen starts to go to black though I have the dimmer OFF with the automatic dim out set at 10 sec, the dimmer then kicks in for around 10 secs then full black. Anyone else have this happen?

    Update,

I plugged into the usb cord for sh*ts and giggles and boom the green led came on, ran DM for updates and it is working fine. I normally use the wall charger in bedside mode so I can't tell you what did it or why plugging in USB power fixed it but it did.

I don't have the led problem but I do have the dimmer issue. My dimmer is set to off and yet I have to keep touching my screen to keep it from fading into the night.

We are currently discussing a release date for this. He is currently testing it right now. We are talking about maybe an early next week release date.

or you could just quit playing games and share whats already freely available on the net. anybody with half a brain can build a hybrid.

It takes an idiot with no life to test all the old versions, every single feature to custom build a hybrid.

Allbeit, I am very greatful for the .114 hybrid, but theres still a pretty bad memory leak. If there was to be a better OS, why would you need to hold a contest? Just post it for everyone. Within minutes it will be on rapidshare and on every BB Blog out there.

on trhe upside, keep up the good work, you guys are doing a great job competing with crackberry and blackberryforums.com

loaded the new hybrid 114 OS yesterday and noticed two things.

1 - The battery life is depleting crazy fast. I went through a full battery in 7 hours with only a couple phone calls and text messages.

2 - When I click the screen it doesn't always wake up. I have to click the unlock button.

Anyone else having this issue or have a solution?

I did 2 battery pulls, but they didn't do anything to help.

You may be the only one to experience this. I can go days with out having to charge my battery. I also have my GPS running 24/7 as well and it still doesnt drain. You may want to wipe your phone with JL then reinstall.

Yo peeps, BBCrackman is very hard at work yo, dont critize him for not releasing HIS work. We DONT pay him to develop these hybrids. PLEASE PLEASE dont pressure him. He has been doing this for a very long time. He is telling you that he is working on this new hybrid so that you can keep checkin back to see when it is released. Dont pressure him to release what he has right now because its NOT READY FOR YOUR PHONE! He is taking the risk and the time to develop this. Please give him kudos! Just remember that we wouldnt have these awesome hybrids that are this stable if it was not for him. Yea yea other people can develop them and it might be "EASY" but it develops them very quick and very strong. I know i couldnt do it so i am going to keep checkin back on this thread and wait till he says its ready for my phone, then im going to tell him what i think, mention any problems, and THANK HIM for the HYBRID! Who is with me on doing the same??????

Should I wipe and re-install? If so, what's the best way to do that?

It is correct, you are running the Hybrid. Have you tried a batt pull to refresh the device, sometimes this is all it takes.
    What themes are you running
What 3rd party apps do you have installed
Do you terminate programs when you exit or do you just use the back button(this leaves them running) you can check this by holding the BB button down until the quick launch bar pops up.
Do you leave GPS on ( this is a battery hog ) keep it off until you need it
Could be just a plain battery issue, I had verizon replace min twice and now it last almost 2 full day with heavy usage.

Just a thought, I will help any way I can
