Yep that is right the radio file is a critical file. That is why I posted to back up just in case anything got lost. But yeah you will need to change everything back to your settings.

Are you trying to activate BES?

Did you check to see if your radio was turned on? I know stupid question but is has been the culprit in the past.

Also if your Device Manager is connected to your BES network you can plug it in there and it will activate. Thats what I do everytime I mess with my OS.

we wireless into our server. I called our IT person and he told me to use a password and we I do it says "an error occured. Please contact your system administrator" he gave me the password yesterday cause I thought I would need it when upgrading but I didnt till i changed the radio.

I did get a message from blackberry saying that my handheld has been registered with the wireless network

Did your IT person say how long the activation password remains active. Ours are active for 48 hours. After that they expire. I know some companies have them set to expire after only a few hours. I assume data and voice connects fine?

You shouldnt need to if you just got it yesterday. Do you have a connection to your work network where you at? Other than wirelessly?

Perfect. Everytime I mess with my OS I do all the loading (which youve already done) and launch my VPN. Once my VPN is connected I launch the Desktop Manager and it will connect to the messageing system via the VPN. Then just plug in your berry a sync and it should activate without a password.

Sort of off topic, but I am running .148 BBC V6 and I was running .132 BBCv5 (which has been the best for me). Can I use swap a radio to put the .132 radio over my .148 BBCv6 setup I have in now? I haven't used Swap a Radio before?

It would work just the same. But I'm not positive which radio V6 uses in the first place. It may already be .132....can anyone else confirm?

OK now it working I guess it case sensitve or I VPNed in and opened DM so I am not sure whats up.

148 v6 uses 148 radio
