Thread: Question Please about Storm OS/.148/v6

Hi this is my first post and I have a question which I'm sure I know the answer to but the engineer in me just has to ask so please don't hammer me to hard.
. 148 which I am downloading now I assume is a complete OS. My question and I'm sure I know the answer is: are the hybrids ie V6 a complete OS or do they need say 148 loaded prior. I'm sure they are complete. Are they? Thanks.

First your never going to get hammered here. Second you do need to install a base OS prior to a hybrid.

.148 is a complete OS
v6 is not a complete OS and needs to be installed over a complete OS of your choice ie .148 , .132 etc.
Once V6 is installed over your base OS then install to your phone and enjoy
And there is no hammering here

Wow thanks that seems like a lot of work for the programmer. So First I load .148 then the Hybrid or will the hybrid function the same with .122?

I would recommend 148 instead of 122 but it should still work. 122 didn't have one of the better sfi's

What you want to do is the following

Delete any previous OS's off your PC with add/remove programs
Install your base OS .148 to your PC(or whatever OS you choose)
Install V6 hybrid over the base OS on your PC
Once that finishes delete your vendor file and launch loader

I'm down loading 148 as we speak. I'm confused. I download the hybrid to the same folder then load to the phone? Is there a tutorial on the site? I looked and all I found was the normal delete vendor file run app loader. Thanks

Go to your control panel on your pc and make sure you uninstall 122(I assume you have it on there since you mentioned it). Then run the 148 installer and when it finishes uncheck the open Desktop Manager checkbox. Then you can just follow the instructions in the Hybrid v6 thread.
