This is just a follow up on my experience with my first Hybrid install. Back on post #190 I experienced minor signal issues. I've seen that is straight OS's as well. Now as I worked my handset by multitasking it, This hybrid on my device seem to flatline. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the fluid transitions of the screens. I couldn't get my device to stop locking up. I eventually wiped with the BB Swiss Army Knife and installed the .148 straight OS. One other thing I found was that my theme seem to drastically reduce the performance. I have since removed my 3rd party theme completely out of my device and went back to the plazmic theme and changed the screen shot. I kept a backup of the theme I took off my storm. I'd like to think I can install it back on when future leaks seem to handle 3rd party apps better.
Just my 0.02cents
On the fence about try BBCv7...

Thanks for the update I would also suggest that you give v7 a shot with the .132 radio. As others with you issue have seemed to find that works good for them.

Thanks Bryan....All indications are pointing in that direction......

Anyone still using V6? I liked V7 but my favorite themes don't work. I had great results with V6 w/.109 radio. I'm trying V6 w/.132 radio now seems good so far. V6 w/ .109 radio had amazing battery life after about 48hrs after installation.

I'm still using v6. I was going to wait for themes and other minor issues to be dealt with before moving on to v7, but v6 - or maybe it's just the .148 core itself - seems to be messing with my battery life.
Initial battery life was good. My last charge barely lasted over 1 day. My previous charge lasted 3 days. Usage is similar. In fact, the biggest drain occurred last night while I was sleeping!
Not sure what the problem is, but it's a little aggravating. Also, the accelerometer isn't any better than .75 was, which I had loaded recently. Seems like the .148 OS included a few bug fixes, and no real improvements, other than better memory management, that I can see.

As for battery life on trick I found in optimizing it is to drain the battery completely dead (to the point where it shuts off). Then charge the battery back up full. This has the effect of semi-flashing the memory of the battery and giving you better battery life. It has worked for many so give it a shot and see how it works for you.

Yeah, I remember you saying that in another thread at one time - and I do this with all rechargeable batteries - so I did try it just last weekend. 1st full charge lasted 3 days, and the next didn't make it through the next night.
I charged it again yesterday evening, after letting it drain waaayyyy down, so hopefully it will hold up from no won.
