sweet! getting ready to install this now! cant wait to try it out!
I tried for 2 days the hybrid with the 90 files hoping it would work well for me, i think just because i liked the larger keys but alas it didnthad my first VSOD since well probably 90 ha!, I just reinstalled the v6 right over the 90 hybrid and it works amazingly well. Actually with upgrading all cod files and none of them being downgraded i actually had no issues with needing to restore any of the apps, everything reloaded perfect and didnt even have to register or send the service books.
Now for my short list of findings on 148 v6
browser the fastest i have had in a while,
Signal still not great but better than on straight 148, I would be at signal strength indoors -96 d now not going above -.90 d outside im at a strong -.80 d yes the lower the number the stronger the signal.
Battery back to holding very well, was searching for a signal too hard on .90 hybrid and straight 148 for me and drained the battery to about 65% within 8 hours at work, now still at 80% after 8 hrs.
Memory has always been an issue with me since I have pretty many apps (at least for this phone) but I must say its now not going below 20 mb after pretty heavy daily use and recovers nicely thruoghout the day.
After 1 day on v6 without the 90 files not a single lockup or VSOD.
Camera still so so (better that 75) Ha!, day shots pretty good, but using the flash still very slow.
Video camera great no issuse, MMS pic attachment working great (as it should)
I have not yet found a problem. I am very happy.
Even the WiFi works great...... (just kidding)
So to bbcrackman :hail: this is a good one :beerchug:

Murphy download the hybrid and use only the java folder, keep the sfi file for 9500 and you are ready to go, basically the java folder has the same files for both phonesOriginally Posted by Murphy

I think this thread finally sold me. I'm going into my third month of BlackBerry use, after 6 loyal years of Windows Mobile. With my WM devices, I always used altered operating systems. With the BlackBerry, I haven't done it yet. My goal was to just get familiar with the OS itself. I think I'm there, and ready to move into this version for my Storm.
Thanks all...I'm sure I'll be asking questions. Totally different process updating the OS on these devices. I thank everyone on this board that invests their time making my favorite device ever even greater.
Chat with everyone this weekend to let you know my progress!

As always great job will be posting my findings!!!
One question i have is when using shrink-an-os what are the fixes on the right side for (lock, mms, .141 quick launch, and .148 quick launch)and do i need them. I have wiped my phone and plan on putting BBC .148 v6 on it.
Thank You in Advance
