Are you running the V6 with .90 over .148 right now? If you are then just use swap a radio and swap in .148

    Download Swap A Radio

i'll take a look at it when i get home, but just to be sure - does it provide the 148 radio or do i need dl it from somewhere else?

    No problem

Just remember the following for it to work properly

You need to extract the .exe to your computer (I usually do it to the desktop)
Have net framework 3.5 installed on PC
If you have Vista or higher once extracted you will need to right click and choose run as admin

Good luck and it is very simple and painless to use. Be sure to back up your phone just in case

Ok. I have finished work for the weekend, so ready to begin my upgrade on the Storm. I'm very happy with Pain Producer's details around his first 48 hours. I too rely on my BlackBerry to work at 110% for 15 hours a day or more. Therefore, the freeze-ups that Pain Producer was seeing on .148 Hybrid V6 .90 is something I too can't handle.

Here's my questions. I'm coming from the Stock OS. I see the files for download in the first post, but to pull load the OS that PP is referring to, which link is it? Also, I know I need to upgrade my radio, desktop software, and possibly an OS or two before I go to this version.

I have seen some instructions for loading an OS (yes, I have used the search button), but with there not being a Sticky in this forum, I want to see if there is one specific for "BBcrackman's Hybrids"?

Advice or guidance is always welcome. This is my first attempt, but with all the changes I've done with previous devices (Windows Mobile), I'm not concerned that I'm going to mess it up too bad.

Thanks everyone for the feed back. I am ready to be an OS Surfer like I was with WM...upgrading my phone with the newest and hottest out there!

    Ok...so to start:

    1. You need to download and install 4.7.0.148 (link in first post) to your PC
    2. Download v6 hybrid (link also in first post)
    3. Follow the instructions with pictures on how to run hybrid.exe
    4. Make sure to uninstall all other OS from your PC (control panel> add/remove programs)
    5. Also make sure you back up your phone and 3rd party apps FIRST.
    6. Then just load the OS onto phone (once the hybrid installed is finished running)
    7. Enjoy your phone!!!

You can also find the complete guide to upgrade in my signature and other helpful tips. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Been following the site and hybrid OS's for a while now. Finally realized how much better my life is for the simple fact that my Blackberry runs better and more smoothly than EVER!

Thank you BBOS for V6 Hybrid! Its my 3rd BBOS OS install. I loaded it last night (as well as the BBOS Blue Theme, my first custom theme). All I have to say is WOW. Just WOW. Thank you!!

P.S. Its going on my mom's Storm tonight Gotta love that 2 for 1 Blackberry deal that we got!
