Truth it is an awesome program I have used it twice now. Hollip did an outstanding job building this

What if I only want to shrink....I just ran V6 on 148, so the hybrid part is done....will I have to reset my BB on the BES if I shrink?

Did you load the OS on the phone already? Your suppose to shrink before you load so all the changes take place

You can use shrink once your OS is loaded but I am pretty sure you will have to reactivate with BES.

To shrink the OS you want you may have to downgrade or wipe and resintall, but with you on BES i know that can be a pain

that is a pain alright...I used to have control of my own BES, and I could do this until I was blue in the face.....guess I'll have to deal until another OS upgrade comes out....

I tried running the program and when I clicked on the shrink button I got this error:


I clicked ok and then a success window popped-up, is this normal?

The last time I ran this I did not receive any errors so for that reason i will say no it is not normal.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Do you have

net framework 3.5 installed on your PC?
If you are on vista are you running as Admin?
And did you extract to your desktop?

I have net framework 3.5.
I'm running XP, I just have a Vista theme,
I extracted to MyDocuments folder.

Nevermind, I extracted to my Desktop and it worked fine. Although the Windows Update just popped-up stating that there's an update to the net framework 3.5

Sorry I've been away for a while, I was moving back down to sunny San Diego! Although, it hasn't been that sunny lately. Anyway, you're correct, that error shouldn't come up. Unfortunately, while that error is somewhat descriptive, it's still pretty vague. I'm assuming this is the first time you've run the app. In which case, it might be looking for something that isn't there yet. I'll look into it.


On another note, the files for 151 will be on my server and the app data will be updated in about 15 minutes (the download is going really slow). To get the new app data just click "Check for Updates" in the app and it will automatically download the new data.

if you're referring to the "selected base" option in the radio drop down. this is a known bug which will be fixed in the next release, and, yes, in this case it'll be fine. it double checks against the device you have selected and (luckily) the 9500 and 9530 radio files have different filenames so it'll ignore it since the file doesn't exist. when it's fixed it wont even give you an option to choose a radio that's not compatible with your device.

Thank you for your reply. Do you mean that i will never have chance to use the same radio as 9500?
