Does it have the same animation when opening and closing applications as v7?

Indeed. Six bucks is six bucks.
I attached jpg files to the original post (no time to search how to post the pictures themselves this a.m.).

Does this hybrid have issues with media player like v7 does???
Why buy a Blackberry if your not going to tinker with it???

Well, this hybrid has been humming along nicely for me since Saturday (6/13/09).
Battery life still rocks the house.
Memory seems to boot up lower (not that 42mb is really anything to scoff at) and seems to drain a little faster than V7, but I have not witnessed any decrease in performance when memory dips into the 20s as compared to when memory is in the 20s.
Browser seems faster to load pages and otherwise navigate the Interwebs.
Keyboard seems smoother and more responsive.
MeterBerry still works (Holla, Bryan!).
Oh, props to Natemz on the BBampd theme--sweeeeeeeeeeet.

I will report similar findings.
I only boot up at 40 and move into the high 20's after 10+ hours. But there is no performance lag whatsoever. This has easily been the best typing on any of these Hybrids "FOR ME".
I'm thinking about installing OneofaKindPC's Hybrid for comparo sakes.
If I do, I'll report back soon.
Hope all of your saw the article that was posted on Crackberry about using the Storm with Gym Technik! <Shameless Self Plug-At least I didn't start a thread to call attention to the article--I have my site to do that...
Peace
I switched from BB V7 to this Hybrid because i was having some small issues. For me BB V5 with the .132 base worked best.
Now all i can say is damn!!!!! This Hybrid is sooo much faster than the BB Crackman's versions (This is for my own 9530. Many reported other findings...) The internet is also a lot more speedy.
So i just wanted to say THANKS for this great Hybrid!!!
Besides, i'm running the latest version from the installer. I think it is 6.
