    9530 4.7.0.148 / 5.0 (9000) Findings and Fixes Thread

Ok since we are trying to keep things clean and organized I figure this would be a good one to start as well.

This is regarding the .148 / 5.0 findings only.
    Blue for good results
    Red for bad results

For .148 Findings only please go to here:

The number buttons while in the phone look like they're too big for the screen and *,0,# buttons are only partially visible, but you can see about 80% of the button so it's not really a big deal at all.
BTW I've had this installed and running for about 10 minutes.
Memory at 41.4 after 3 battery pulls, which is normal for me.
    I'll update later.
Seems to run a LITTLE bit slower than .132/BBCv.5 but I'll let it settle in for a couple days atleast.

What theme are you running? The numbers getting cut-off are due to a Plazmic issue rather then a OS issue

    I am running Appleberry Classic.
I left the phone on last night and I am at 37.5 memory.
Acceleromator seems like it was in .132/BBCv.5...which is pretty fast!

Seems like this .148/BBCv.5 is working well, or at least it has been for the last 8 hours.

If you don't shrink out the Event Logger when loading this hybrid, you'll be able to look in it and see if you're encountering errors that may be caused by some of the 5.0.0.93 files (or others). I encountered this on the .132/5.0 hybrid and suspect there may be a few hic-cups in this build as well. Not all of the "errors" are fatal or cause a freeze/reboot. Several may be handled by the error handler in the software. Nevertheless, I'd be curious to know if you all see such errors when you review your event logs. (as a side note, I did not encounter these errors on the straight .132, but did on the .132/5.0 hybrid.

I don't really have much to report. Everything has been running pretty smoothly. Though right now there's a really annoiting lag while I type this. Based on the past 20 hours or so it running well.

Why would I want the 5.0 files?
And does it matter that I will have to drop the 90 radio in it?

The 5.0 files improved my internet dramatically as far as speed goes. I had the .90 radio in for awhile and for the first time I got random reboots with it. I can't say it was the 5.0 files as it was a home brew hybrid.

My guess is your reboot was due to the .90 radio code more than 5.0 files.

Yes I know... I guess I didn't say that properly originally. It was def the .90 radio but since it was a home brew I can't be sure what files it was conflicting with, since I didn't have the problem with .90 before on other OS's.

    J,

You have helped me out many times so I just wanted to throw this out there for your consideration.
I have never had the reboots or VSOD with the 90 code except for one combination and this maybe why it happens to others.

I had some hybrid and threw 90 in it for TMo. Then I downloaded uber twitter and it kept resetting. Something to do with it trying to identify my location with the radio.

Do the storms on VZW use VZW programs with lots of radio interaction. Does that make sense? And that could be why everyone has problems with 90 except those of us using it for Tmo?

Off current subject... but, I'm not sure if you guys have received the QL update email. The new version of QL resolves the flickering issue without having to downgrade some of your files.

thanks for the info there is a thread already posted on this one. It's about time that flickering was horrible.
