The CBteam has blessed us users with a Leaked OS 5.0.0.973 . Hasn't been alot of action on the Storm front (no pun intended) lately and the Storm 3 is right around the corner. Not OS6 but were all hanging in there with our fingers crossed. Hopefully there are some much needed bugfixes for us all. Download it and tell us what you think.

Ok, I dopn't know if anyone else is having issues with the Chinese leaks but I've had it. So far the last to leakes have been pretty much useless to me. The first one bricked my bb and the second one actually loaded but would freeze everytime I tried to access contacts. Smrtguard was rendered useless, and after an hour BBM kept giving me a fatal error.

Hodges, I highly suggest not wasting your time trying to hybrid this one unless any other 9530 user has had any sign of success.

I've installed 2 previous Chinese releases for the Storm 1 and have had no issue (plus the hybrids built on those)

However I tried to install this one to my computer last night and it failed to complete the install to my drive. First time that's ever happened. Anyone else have that issue?

I have to say, I have had very few problems with these chinese leaks. Used straight .871 since it was released wit no issues, smooth and responsive. I loaded .973 as soon as I heard about it, About 20 hours ago . >973 is running smooothly booting up with 18 megs after restoring all apps and permissions.With moderate use today, battery at 68%, memory down to 10 megs. I always shrink with new SAOS tool full backup and wipe.
I have been having more trouble with DM6 not doing a correct backup than anything else. Last night it would only backup calender and nothing else. I used a backup file from 11/7 to restore contacts etc. and then used backup from last night to update calender only.
Other wise no issues at all.

I'm not thrilled with this leak... there seems to be a serious flaw with the keyboard "going numb" on me. All of the previous asian leaks seem to be better... and choosing between them has been a difference in speed vs. camera quality with my Storm 1 I'm going back to .797 (what's been the best for me so far...)

I need to know about DOD Root Certificates using the Shrink A OS? It is not something in their lists but in app loader it is a choice to have or not? Can anyone tell me do I want it?
Also what about Vodaphone in the Shrink ? Does Pandora need it or MP3's?? This is for the 973 OS.

You don't need or want either of those.. and no the vodafone has nothing to do with Pandora or Mp3's .

I am running .973 and I found at night in bedside mode in charging stand the dimmed clock will not stay on anymore. Anyone else find this? Is there a work around, a fix?:aargh4:
