I've been having this issue as well with 5.1, 5.1 (both of which I am running .132). And it even flipped to 1X for me in a area where the 3g coverage is quite good.

It will take a while to connect or maybe it won't and then I'll look again and I see 1X. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to be quite annoying. This morning I turned on my phone and everything is blazing fast. It was like this yesterday too and then all of a sudden yesterday I started to get the 1X issue. I don't know. What do any of you suggest? Should I reload entire os? I wiped phone before loading this hybrid and everything seemed to go fine. Please advise and thanks in advance.
It sounds like the SFI file (radio) is giving you some issues. Have you updated your PRL by dialing *228 then option 2? If that doesn't help I would recommend trying a different an SFI file from another OS. The consensus seems to be that 109 SFI file is the best so might want to give that a shot.

1 Open Desktop Manager and plug in your phone
2 Go to Backup and Restore
    3 Click the Advanced button
4 Highlight Browser Data Cache under device databases
    5 click clear
Thanks. I did try that once, but it didn't work.

I finally decided to go through the entire list of databases and I found that it wasn't just the browser data cache that was failing; the browser messages database was also failing on backup.

Anyway, I finally got the rest backed up. Now it's time to play with v5!

Ok I appreciate the response but now you're telling me to do something that I've never tried before. I'm pretty good with this stuff, so if you could give me a quick step by step instruction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
