Do you know which radio was used for that version?
I might already have 109 on my Storm, not sure.
    Thanks
I would recommend using Swap A Radio by Lyricidal to swap in the .109 radio code, you can download that here BlackBerry Apps/Hybrids by lyricidal

I have to add an update to my post below.

I decided to fix things yesterday. I have so many old files on my computer, I wiped everything RIM off my computer. My old files for Bold, Curve, 8800, etc. I uninstalled DM and started all over. The reason behind this was I wiped the phone again and loaded 5.1 and I was still getting some messed up stuff. I did a full wipe of the phone using CrackUtil. I even used the Reset IT Policy to strip the phone down to a bare minimum.

To make a long story short, 5.1 is awesome.

I loaded 5.1 and then did a restore for all my 3rd party apps. I did not want to backup anything as I was afraid some setting would come over from previous issues. It was a bit of a pain to restore everything but not too bad. i have gotten really good at this lately. After the full clean up, all my files, 3rd party apps, sounds, profiles etc are back to normal. I even have a few things I did not have before. This OS is fast, memory is good and recovery is better. Nuff said. Thanks Crackman.

I am usually the only ATT GSM user that reports my findings but I do it for anyone that it may help. So here goes:

If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't. I am running fine now on 5.1 but my app memory is not significantly higher. It does recover better and a bit faster though. I currently boot up with just under 51megs and I am idling at 31megs after about 20 hours of very light use. I run App World, BerryWeather, UberTwitter, GoogleSync, GoogleMaps, Poynt, BerryBuzz, QuickLaunch, QuickPull, Speedtest, StopTilt and StormSlider.

For me the memory is not a huge difference but as a GSM user, I am now having alot more trouble getting a full EDGE signal to lock on startup. Previously I could reboot and just run my browser and the phone would lock to EDGE. Now is just bounces and bounces. I usually have to turn off the radio a few times and it will finally catch. When it does catch, it is solid as always. I accidently discovered that if I am driving, the phone locks into EGDE much faster. I am trying to compute this one and figuring it must be that when the phone is switching cells, it locks faster. One more thing I have noticed is it takes longer for the GPS to lock now.

Anyway, I am not going back to V5 but I wonder if anyone would care to take a stab at reasoning behind the switching cells faster lock or the longer GPS lock. Each phone is different but I like to have a feel for what is going on. Thanks.

I loaded the .109 radio last night over the .132 base and 5.1 hybrid. Battery
drain doesn't seem to bad, thought it doesn't seem too much different from just .132 5.1 hybrid, but the memory drain is really bad. I have never went below 18mb all day with just the hybrid and now I'm down to 12mb in just 5
hours. Want to see if it recovers or just keeps draining.

That's crazy, did you do a battery pull after installing it? I'm getting a slight drain with .109 too, but I only lose about 2-3mb a day.

Hey 410 here is what I would do

delete your current OS off your computer with control Add/remove
Download and install .141 or .132 to your PC
Download and install V5.1 for .141 or .132 to PC and install it over your .141 or .132 OS on your pc
Run Shrink A OS or if you don't want to do that be sure to delete the vendor file
Run loader and load on to phone

You don't need to wipe your phone that is a personal preference of some. I usually don't but did this last time when changing to 5.1 and I feel it made a huge difference.

I'm currently running the .109 radio over the .132 base and 5.1 hybrid. So far it is running great. Battery leaks are minimum. Memory drain I'm not sure yet, it has taken a few days for the .109 radio to settle. But my signal strength remains at -80dBm! So far so good!

Sometimes I feel like all I do is peddle .109 whenever I have issues .109 is the first place I turn. I have been pleasantly surprised with 5.1 as I am still using .132 and so far so good.

I agree about .132.....it has a really good radio. I didn't have such luck with .141...but when I loaded bb crackmans v5 over .132, I was shocked that I haven't messed with my phone till just now
