Crackman V5.1 (.141) with Lyricidal 5.0 Files and .132 Radio

I just wanted to says thank you again to BBC, to the BBOS team and to lyricidal. My Storm is running better than ever with the new concoction!

Good luck to my fellow tweakers!

Appreciate you the other day sharing with me your concoction of a hybrid. So I gave it a shot and still found my memory to dip into the 20's. I decided to just run v5-132 with gps permutations and still was getting horrible memory. So I decided to take a deeper look into the issue and found two little naughty apps that were causing this significant memory leak (which is strange because I have been running these two on every OS). So the two culprits were Buzzme and Logmaid.

Yeah logmaid... a programs that is supposed to clear your event log and free up memory was doing just the opposite. So after deleting these two apps my memory has been stable at 41mb. Anyway, just wanted to share my findings.

So last week I loaded .132 then installed V5. I read now that I need to wipe the phone and install a FRESH copy of .132 before I load V5.1?. With .132 loaded and ready, why the fresh copy?

BuzzMe? 4realz? It seems like such an innocuous little nicety.

I wonder if BuzzMe Pro is any better (this would be a nice marketing gimmick to get people to spend the $2.99 to upgrade!).

How did you discover the leak?

    Morning guys

Yeah logmaid was a pig for me too I ditched back at sith's hybrids.

I've read a few people think it might be quickpull. I deleted it this morning to see if there is a difference.

I'm still running .141 and my memory is always above 29. Usually mid 30's.

Yeah I know such a nice little programs consisting of a whole 20kb. I removed all 3rd party apps and themes adding them back one by one over a 36 hours period until I discovered the issue.

Quickpull is a pig too. If you have meterberry ditch Quickpull as it does the same thing. But still, nothing compares to good ole fashioned battery pull.

I suppose whatever line may have existed was obliterated like the back line of the batter's box when we jumbed on the BB wagon....

I ran the JL_Cmder and installed BBcrackman v5.1 hybrid. The wipe completed properly. I installed the new hybrid. After I did a restore with all my applications and messages, I am missing a lot of stuff. I am missing all of my applications and browser. My messages and contacts are intact. But everything I have installed is completely gone. Is there a way to get them back?

Okay no problem. If you did your backup you can run DM and go to add applications.

In the list just highlight the apps you want to add

    Have done a battery pull?

Have you resent your service books?

I need some help. Here is some background on what I did. I started by using crackmem to wipe my phone (after backing up my phone with DM). I then installed .132 and then ran the bbcmv5.1 installer and installed over .132. I then ran DM and sync'd so that I could have all my old setting back on the phone.

I cannot get my old setting back. It sync'd my contacts and thats it. All my old SMS/MMS and Email won't come back. I also had a wallpaper and profile settings that I cannot get back. In the past after, after i stalled then hybrid, and then sync'd with DM, I was given all of that stuff back. Can someone help explain why I'm not getting it this time around?

Try rebooting your phone and your PC and try again. This happened to me once and that is how I fixed it.

+1 to BM's suggestion. I experience the same problem and that is what fixed it for me too.

did you back up the 3rd party apps? if so reload them. as for browser, refresh host routing table, and resend service books. That will fix the browser.

I have OS 4.7.0.122 loaded on my Storm. I'm trying to upgrade to either .132 or .141 of BBCrackman's v5.1 and every time I try, it says that the files I am trying to load are older than the files already installed on the device. I've tried everything I can think of. This message happens when I use the DM to load it or the loader.exe. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and can't think of anything else to do. I've searched the forums and can't find anything either. Any ideas or suggestions?

You are to go with the downgrade, did you chose that option at all?
