Um...Help, I'm STUCK on .75

Folks, honestly, I've tried and tried to follow the instructions for loading something beyond .75 on my Storm...but my version of Desktop Manager keeps telling me that .75 is "current", even though I download, and try to follow every "fake out" tip there is. The version of DM that I have, doesn't have a vendor.xml to delete. No matter WHEN I pull the network connection, it still returns and says I am current. I am a software freakin' engineer, and can't figure out how to get DM to push .132 or .141 or ANYTHING up to the phone. I was waiting for .141, since it appears that Verizon has managed to install a DM that will NOT allow me to upload a leak, or anything else! What am I doing wrong here?

What type of PC are you running? XP, Vista or Windows 7?

Let me try and help you. First off delete all OS's from your PC through add/remove programs.

1. Download and install the OS you want (i.e 132 or 141)
2. Go to the following directory on you PC C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
3. Remove the vendor.xml file
4. Inside the directory will be icon that looks like a phone called Loader.exe
5. Launch that file and the new OS will begin to load on your phone

Yeah his problem is he is using dm insted of loader, or the os didn't install..

He sure is, that is why in my instructions I am trying to get him/her to use Loader instead of DM.
