Okay I just tried it BM's way and I'm still getting the notice: "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, The application will immediately close.
Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.
Details or Continue or Quit


Does anyone know what's up with this? Hep a brutha out? ha

you want to downgrade, have anymore os's installed on your computer?

Ok let's start from scratch

do you have the following

.132 or .141 installed on your computer
then V5 installed over that

once you extract shrink exe (i do it to desktop) you click the browse button and browse to the following

c program files
common files
research in motion
shared
loader
then highlight your OS
then choose ur options on shrink and click shrink

does that sound right to you?

Nope, just 132. I am now showing 141 on platform 174...but now my password lock problem is back. Should it be? Argh...

Im not sure i didnt have that issue and your numbers sound about right but if you used .132 base it should show .132/.174

Man sorry for the lag, Mom called and I had to do the early Mother's Day thing. So yeah, I did a fresh .142 install with no other OS files in the loader folder, then v5 over that, then opened the shrink program from my DT and chose what I wanted taken off and hit shrink. That's when the warning comes up. How about I reboot my computer and try again?

Does anyone know exactly what the upgrades are?

Yeah reboot your pc and try it again. Just to make sure you are extracting the exe out of the zip file correct?

Okay, but if I wasn't, would I get the actual Shrink screen with all the options to delete everything? Let me try it and I'll be back.

Just downloaded .141 V5, and so far it rocks!!!!!! I've never started over 38mb of memory. After the install and a battery pull, I'm up to 46!!!! Keep these coming! Great work!!!!

I tried to download v5 with the 141. and there was no folder 141. to put the v5 into and no loader file folder either. I downgraded to 75. and my battery drains like crazy. I don't what Os i should use anymore.

yep many of people have tried to run it from the zip file you get the shrink program but you will also get an error...that's why I am double checking. I just did it tonight in my rush to put on V5 lol

miken... is this what your getting?!?

BM, just rebooted my PC, opened the shrink window, selected my choices and hit shrunk. Error like before! Now what? Try deleting the shrink program from PC and reinstalling it? I did it last time thru the RAR loader somehow.
