The 3 bat pulls occurred first thing. You can see them at the bottom of the pix. I am using .132 w/5.0..Will goto .141 after a few days. The battery is also draining faster. Will post that in a few..Does the .sfi file control battery life? and..what else..

Added: Here is the Battery Picture..Taken few mins ago..The +32 at 5:03 was after I charged it for a bit. It was showing red!

let your battery completely drain dead, the resets your battery and see if that helps with batt life

Loaded .141 v5 earlier today, and it ran very nicely but not a whole lot better than v4 over .132. Sooo, wiped, and installed v5 over .132. Only been about an hour, but seems much better on my phone. Accelerometer is better, signal better. Memory is about the same--48 immediately after battery pull. Always use Shrink-A-OS,

I run pretty clean--no themes, Docs to Go Premium, Google Maps, and a couple solitaire and Mahjongg games. And, I've got a pile of email messages I keep / need, and about 200 contacts.

Seems my phone likes .132 a lot. FWIW.

ok... so here is my overall assesment of v5. bbcrackman... if I had any interest in having children (which I dont) i would name my first born after u... bbcrackman. What an outstanding job u have done on this one my memory, which has always been a HUGE problem for me has ranged from 42.9 on start up (with a TON of apps loaded) to what seems to be my bottom at 27.1. In the past I have bottomed out at 3 pm at about 6mbs. radio... never better... full bars and constant 1XEV. Battery according to meterberry drops at 7%/ hr, but I use this phone ALL DAY LONG FOR EVERYTHING I DO. i do use rhapsody so I had to refresh my license for my songs but that is the only negative I have and even that is minor. I would HIGHLY recommend this hybrid. Thank you bbc for all of your time and effort that you put into this device and for people you dont even know. You have done an outstanding job this time.

Nikki what version of V5 did you download the one with the SFI from 141 or 132?

.132... I was a bigger fan of .132 than I was of .141... so I went with that. I know u didnt have the best experience with that os JL but in my experience that has been the best release thus far and with bbc's hybrid... UNBELIEVEABLE. I was actually looking to jump ship, but u guys have been so supportive and informative that I thought I would ride the storm out(cheeeezzzzzyyyy) glad I put my swimmies on.

Still noticing, though not as much, as the storm sits idol... memory drops. sometimes too far gone for recovery. Is that a way to keep us addicted to the bb?

It sure is. When the phone sits idle it eats memory. A good trick to free up memory is use your browser for a few minutes. You will be surprised by how much that frees up available device memory.

It all depends on what you have loaded, some apps sit idle in the background causing a leak. Some of these culprits are Viigo, Quick Launch, MeterBerry and any weather app that might be out there.

BBC,:You_Rock_Emoticon: AGAIN! Install went smooth, so far excellent! I thought v4 was the best for me so far, and I was hesitant to change. It is working great, I got a prl version with this os that I have been wanting, so I will see what happens. I found out yesterday, that my Alltel account will be 100% converted to VZ on May 30, I am curious if I will see any changes with operation. Thanks for all your hard work for us!

Glad to here it is working so well for you! You shouldnt see any diffferences with the change over. But if you do, let us know. It will be interesting to see how VZW intergrates Alltel into their system.
