Thanks. The .132 radio was awesome before so i think I'll just stay with that for now and see what happens. So far everything looks good. Will check over the next 48 hrs and then post findings. BBC has done it again. Would love to buy all og you guys a pint or two. :beerchug:

Thanks to jlevy for pointing out some of the concerns that some people had with the 141 sfi file. It allowed me enough time to put together the v5-132

    Thanks jlevy!

:hmmm: I was happy with the .132 sfi but I hadn't tried the 141 yet so that's the v5 I used. I didn't read up on the 141 either so I hope I didn't pick the wrong one. Didn't realize there were concerns. Oh well I'll give it a try....Luckily once again BBCrackman you rock and got our backs with two versions of your v5.

So far everything seems to be working great. Too early for any real findings though.

Well I have just noticed one thing that I have NEVER had....I started with 47.5 MB of app memory on start up and after about 30 min I now have 47.7 MB. I have had some of the OS/Hybrids that did well with recovering memory, but none have ever given me more than what I started up with.

You didnt pick the wrong one, as you know each device performs diferently and some had made mention of BT issues with 141. If it works on your device then keep using that or you can change to the other... I have run both and I dont have an issue with either one.

No memory loss at all after 1 hour. I have never had that happen. So far so good with V5. I am glad to have QL back. This hybrid seems faster than straight .141
I tried my jawbone 2 and i had no volume issues. Also the lock fix works on this Hybrid. Basically I am very happy coming from straight .141. Battery seems better and u have been using my Storm a lot.

    Hope this helps

So far so good. I booted up with 58.1 memory which I have never seen since I owned the phone. I will let it run for a while and post back in the morning. Thanks for the great work as always!!

On first looks this hybrid certainly appears to be the best. Initial memory highest yet at 48..Went to 42, now back to 49..Hmm..Will check battery life tomorrow. Did my 3 batt pulls and accelerator, camera, browser all running as fast if not quicker than w/4.0..Using .132 build..More results l8r. Nite all

I am installing as I type. I'm excited about the positive feedback I'm reading. Will add my .02 worth tomorrow...and I'm sure it's gonna be great.

    Thanks BBC

Ok I've had v5 with the .141 sfi running for over an hour now so here are my initial findings. I'm coming from BBC's v4 with .132 sfi and I never tried the .141 leak, so I can't compare to that....

Memory is FANTASTIC. Started at 47.5 went up to 48 and seems to be settling around 45 and that is with 3 phone calls, some browsing on the internet, lots of testing of the camera and video, and several e-mails.:burnout:

Typing seemed to be fast, but at first was a bit more laggy than v4, especially in the browser. It does seem to be getting better so we'll see after the OS settles more.

The browser itself is just as fast as with v4, at least I don't see any noticable difference. No problems here at all.

Camera works great. Initial focusing seems a bit quicker and the shutter snaps right away after the focus box turns green. Just a straight snap shot without waiting for that focus is still slow though.

Video issue I had with v4 is GONE. No more white bars when rotating from landscape to portrait. The messed up screen I got after renaming a video is gone as well.:12:

Accelerometer is very responsive. v4 was very nice with this and I don't see any change so far. No issues here.

My signal strength seems better with this one. I live in the country on the edge of the closest tower's coverage. I usually switch from 1X with 3 bars to 1XEV with 1 or 2 bars. So far I've stayed with 1XEV with 2 or 3 bars. It switched to 1X with 3 bars only once when I went downstairs in the basement.

I Will see how the battery life is after a good 24 hours.

:bigok:Once again BBCrackman, you have out done yourself.:You_Rock_Emoticon:

    Camera is 100%

I am very impressed even as I type this on my bb typing is zooming along. And once again the memory is amazing... Just gotta see what halppens after 24+ hours

Well, still cruising along with great memory. Currently at 57.4 and started last night at 58.1. Everything working quickly and smoothly. I would say best development to date.

May have to try the .132/V5 Hybrid. Installed the .141 last night and today
all I seem to get is a 1X signal in my house. I usually get a 1XEV with three or four bars. Anyone else get a bad signal?

Been running for 12 hrs now and everything is stable. Radio is at 80db with 5 bars and battery at 95%. I'm on pl.162 having loaded over the .132 V4 OS. Love the keyboard and the browser seems faster. Mem is down 3.5MB which for me is normal. Camera definitely is faster to focus and snap the picture. All in all very pleased so far. Going to give this 2-3 days with the .162 PL and then try the .174 to see which radio is better for me.
Did any of you who previously switched from the .132 radio to the .141 see any improvements? I seem to be the only one here on Bell (Crazy Canuck) so it's kind of hard to compare.

had soem time so I loaded it up, going through the batt pulls now. First one almost finished but in the mean time I did do some typing and it seems very responsive and quick compared to the V4. Will update as teh day goes on.

Look forward to hearing your feedback. When you report your impressions let us know which one of BBC's hybrids you installed. Thanks.
