I am installing the .132 V5.0 first and will let all know my findings after a few hours of wear and tear. To early..Will check mem and batt settings as well as camera, mms, quickpull and other 3rd party apps. Right now, doing batt pulls 3xs, per previous threads.
Install going smoothly..Thanks to BBC and all who had a part in this build..

Question 257- If I had .141 already loaded on computer, then ran V5 (for .141), I should have said to downgrade to older files when installing right?

There are two Hybrids, one is based on the 132 sfi file and the other is off of the 141 sfi file. Looks like you loaded the one with the .132 file. Which is fine, I have been running for a while and its awesome for me

    V5 with 132 SFI = version 141, PL# 162
    V5 with 141 SFI = version 141, PL# 174

Well while I'm waiting to do my batt pulls I got a question....anyone know why it would take longer for one Storm to reboot than another? I put the exact same apps and OS's on mine and my wife's Storm and her's restarts twice as fast as mine.

Could be a number of things. Different numbers of contacts, sms/mms messages, your presets, and caches. Just to start with.

Findings for .141 (two battery pulls)
    Came from .141/5.0
screen Transition smooth and quick from screen to screen, like the faded transitions
Browser a bit faster in rendering
Some clocks popups initially when opening programs
Accelerometer: Same, or little slowers, but not noticeable depending on program, but is speed up as the OS settles
Camera: better button response, one button push for taking pictures
Keyboard: much better, no lag, even in suretype or full, loving it.
Radio: As expected, got better radio signal from the .132, getting replacement phone tomorrow, so if it something I'm going to keep, will be trying the .132v5
[Falcon: Would you like to play a game? David Lightman: How about...Globalthermal Nuclear War Falcon: Would you like to play a nice game of Chess?Storm 9530 BBCV5 Hybrid

Thanks for sharing your findings. You work quick. I'm sure things will improve over the next 24-48 hours.

When I back mine up, the contacts take the longest. I have 350-400.

That is what I did. I presumed that since I was running .132 that was the version I should install. I never did bother with .141. Have you found one version better than the other? That is PL .162 vs .174? What are the differences if any?:dunno:

I'll share more, and I definately agree that 48 hours is the real test, but just some initial findings of what I'm getting so far.

Crossing my fingers my replacement storm tomorrow is a 2nd production refurb and not a 1st prod model.

Gotta get to bed though, night

The only difference is the radio file. Some prefer the SFI from 132 others from 141. I have v5 with 132 but that is personal preference. Give them both a shot and see which one works better for you.
