Recently I have been getting a "sim card error" on my phone, in order to fix it I need to do a battery pull. In the past couple of days it has been happening much more frequently.

I'm running V5 with the 132 radio. I don't want to try V5 with 141 as I used the lydrical 141/5.0.90 and the radio didn't work very well. Should I try running v5 with a different radio?

Have you tried these steps?

1. Manage Connections
2. Select "Mobile Network Options"
3. Network Technology: Change to 1XEV
4. Save

bmtenney: that was the first thing I did when I first noticed it a few days after upgrading (I upgraded a couple days after v5's release) thinking that would fix it.

Have you tried removing the sim card cleaning it and putting it back in? Or just leave it out that is what I do

Well, I took it out and reset it, if the problem arises again I'll just remove it and see what happens. Then I would just have to find a place to keep it and not lose it.

So I just found this out.
Ubertwitter does not work with this build and the 90 radio code. It keeps resetting the phone.

Twitterberry works fine with it.

Just an fyi for the tmob people that may be running into these problems.

Try this jcoolw, go to Options/Advanced Options/Applications and highlight the "phone" do not click/BB Button/Edit Permissions and allow on all

Then in applications/highlight the app in question, do not click,BB Button/ disable compatibility mode. save and exit

I've come to realize that my problem with the rebooting and the 132/122 radio actually had nothing to do with the radio file itself. I downloaded the beejive beta version for the storm and even if it was not running it was the culprit. I removed it and now all is good.
