I just installed .141 V5 and everything is good except my browser isn't working. I really need my browser to be working. Any idea what to do? Signal seems ok but wont load any page at all.:dead:

Have you resent service books by going to options - advanced option, host routing table and then clicking register now? If not do that then a battery pull. Let us know if that helps.

go to

options>advanced>host routing> click your bb button and choose register now

aaahhhhhh! I feel better now. Worked like a charm. Thanks, you guys rock! I'm not sure about the radio file yet but the rest of the OS kicks ass. Can anyone tell me what radio file was in the .114 hybrid?

I don't know for sure but I thought it was .109?

Depends what version you are referring to. I believe there were three in total. The last two used .113 and the first one I believe used 109.

Installed fine with no hitches.
Memory is better than .132 (no hybrid) however can never get it over 28 (suggestions are welcomed). If I let the device just sit my memory will go from 26.5 to mid teens within an hour.
Battery seems fine not noticing a huge difference yet.

I commonly use email, sms, Viigo and Facebook on a regular basis. I have preformed multiple battery pulls.

Viigo was a huge memory hog for me and I know Laney has issues with Facebook sucking her memory down to nothing.

Also are you closing out of your apps properly? Hitting the blackberry button while in the app and choosing close? If you pull up your app switcher (hold down bb button on home screen) it should show only 5 apps running (messages, bbm, phone, browser, home).

bmtenney, I have not tried the shrink an os,. Will look at that now. I do close all programs properly and check often to make sure only the 5 apps are running. I normally do a reboot 2-4 times a day. I leave with it cause I like testing/playng with different apps. I enjoyed StormSlide but found it sucked the memory down (at least I think).

I shall start with the shrink an os and see if that increased my memory. The real test will be if it holds it up. Amazes me how some report 40+ on a regular basis.

I ran plain .132 for a week or so. It seemed to work mostly fine. Then I upgraded to the .141 v4 hybrid. I had issues with that, so I rolled back to .132 for a few days, then upgraded to .132 V5 Hybrid yesterday.

Issues:

1) with .132 and later, including Hybrids, my phone is dropping from EVDO to 1X frequently, now, just sitting tethered in my office. It never used to do this.

2) with .132 V5, I tried something I had never tried before and it didn't work - so I don't know if this is a NEW issue or not. But, I tried creating a new Folder on my homescreen yesterday. I hit Menu/Add Folder. I get the dialog where I can type in a folder name. I do so and click Add. Nothing happens.

Or, at least, that's what was happening yesterday, trying to do it in Portrait mode. I just tried it again, for purposes of documenting it. I was working all in Landscape mode. I don't know if that makes a difference, but it worked this time. Go figure.

stuart did u wipe before each install?

I tried the swap a radio it keps giving me an error message. anyone know where I can just get the rado file to switch the cdma files

Thank you gentleman for your quick response. I have 141 with v5 and the radio is up and down up and down. If I remember right 109 was alot smoother not so up and down? anyone else have any suggestions sorry if im out of forum :banghead:
