Oh cool sounds good. What's the difference between the two models anyway?

9530 has CDMA, 9500 does not.

    Hi bbcrackman,
after reading through pages and pages you're the man who's making things work. As to the .114 hybrid-version for the 9500, If you need a "9500 testlocation" I'm yours. Right now I'm running the "official VF 1.13" firmware

So, as soon as you feel you've worked out a 9500-compatible FW

    Thnx,
    Peter

Just a quick question about installation... Can you think of any issue in pasting the Hybrid file into an installed .75 OS file? For whatever reason my system will not recognize any of the leaked betas. I've deleted and reinstalled DM several times, I've downgraded to DM 4.6, I've wiped the phone with JL Commander, I even swapped the phone....nada. But, If I paste it into the official release it works like a charm and installs .114, 136 which has been running and working incredibly well on my phone for 3 days now.

Just wanted to double check as I'm planning to download the new hybrid in a few hours and am anticipating having to do the same thing.

    Thank you!

Did you ever delete the vendor.xml file for any of the Beta's you tried to install? It will work, however I would be concerned about any residule effects installing over .75 may have, not that there would be any. I prefer to install over the core product.

I did delete it. No luck with that either. Thanks for the feedback though. At least I know it should be OK if I have to do it again.

Ok I tried to follow the video step by step and got both the .114 OS downloaded and installed to my PC. As well as the hybrid OS that was posted. I got everything copied into the right places just like it was said in the video. But when I went to run the app loader it did not even find a OS available to install. Any suggestions on where I went wrong?

You first installed the .114 to your computer correct? Then copied and pasted the hybrid files into that .114 directory?

Run the loaderApplication from the C:/ program files/ common files/ research in motion/ apploader/ folder
The icon looks like a phone

Ok, well looking back at your first post,

If you run the loaderapp from the folder it should open up a wizard.

You are running it from the os not through the DM, so there is nothing for the pc to find.

    From here

    To the wizard

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the fix for those of you that get the blank shaded box when tring to forward an MMS picture message.
    1. Download and install Crackutil
    2. Download mms.cod file Zip File
    3. Unzip and drop the net_rim_bb_mms.cod file in the directory C/Program Files/Crackutil
    4. Right click on Crackutil desktop icon, and select "Run as Aministrator"
    5. Select FILE MANIPULATION - INTERMEDIATE
    6. Select Load File to Device
    7. Navigate to and select net_rim_bb_mms.cod
    8. Let the phone reboot and your mms problem is fixed.

For those of you having problems with Crackutil, here is the alternate way. Try using this method. It was how to fix it before the crackutil was discovered. Now keep in mine this is re installing you OS, so for safety, back up your phone.
    1. Make a backup of data with D.M
    2. Must have your OS installed on computer and phone
    3. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.xxx*\Java
    4. Delete net_rim_bb_mms.cod
    5. Plug in phone and run loader it will remove mms from phone, phone will restart with an error thats ok just leave it sit that way and up plug from usb
    6. Go back to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.xxx*\Java
    7. Copy the .100 net_rim_bb_mms.cod file in the directory
    8. Plug phone back in run loader phone will update and install that mms.cod and restart.
    9. After phone restarts go to D.M and restore backup then send host routing table
    10. Pull battery put battery back phone restarts
    11. MMS will send with pictures or forward old mms with pictures

    * is your loaded OS

    NOTES:
    1. The mms.cod file I have is from .100, but the .86 mms.cod file works also.
    2. Vista users make sure you install Crackutil as Administrator and change Compatability to Run this program as an administrator.

    **Disclaimer**
If you do not feel comfortable with ANY of these steps DO NOT ATTEMPT, as this is altering you OS and can brick your phone...

the vendor file is the file that makes it work with different vendors (verizon, att, bell)

So if bell makes an OS official like they did with .76, you can only use it on your Verizon phone if you delete the vendor file.

Thanks for the advice. I tried that as well actually in the whole process. Didn't work either.

I did just upgrade to the new hybrid. Ended up copying it into the .114 file, then copying the files from there into the .75 file....very strange that it won't work with the .114 file, but after all is said and done it loaded and works great.
