Read instructions it took me a whole day of reading for me to even think of doing a hybrid on my own. Now a week into reading crackmans wonderful instruction I've done three hybrids and haven't had one problem.

    help..

    I'm new...

This morning I installed the 114 hybrid on my Verizon BB Storm. I installed the 114.exe file then I used the DM to upgrade my Storm. Is that ok? I'm noticing my battery getting HOT and I've had 2 reset. Should I redo everything? And how?

    Thanks!

On your BB go to Options> About and tell me what the platform is

I dont use the DM to install, there are a couple of links contained in the readme file of the Hybrid that will show you how. If you have trouble I am here to help get you through it.

I read a link to revert back os by deleting the bb os off my pc then reinstalling it. I'm thinking about doing that right now and then reinstalling 114 hybrid following the instructions. Would that be a good idea?

DM 4.7, It seems to be running good now. I took out the battery earlier when it was heating up and now it seems to be good. I know earlier I was using a free theme, which now I reverted back to stock theme. And I remember that the second time it reset was when I was browsing. But since its working ok no, I think I'll wait on re-installing. Thanks bbcrackman!

Anytime no13od4, by the way, I would go back to 4.5 or 4.6 on the DM, 4.7 is a little buggy for some reason

    BBCrackman,

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help. The company I work for has 7 storms, and I get to be the guinea pig. 114H has been working great on mine, and with your instructions I was able to upgrade the entire office from 75 to 114H.

before everyone was about ready to throw the phones in the trash, now they all like it.

already has the fix, if you downloaded yesterday or today. If you did it the night before when I first put it up then yes.

If you want the larger keyboard then yes. If that does not matter to you, then no.

    Hey Crackman,

Glad to find your site. I saw it mention over at CB so thought I would check it out.

Question: I am running .109 and wanted to upgrade to .114, but have been watching all the complaints with .114. Can I just install your hybrid before even installing the original .114?

Thank man for this awesome site. Never too many BB sites for me!!

    Welcome to BlackBerryOS hairbear1954!
You need to install 114.exe to your pc then you overwrite it with the hybrid file. Just download the zip and there is a readme file that will walk you through the process

Super! I had already downloaded the original .114 file and the .114 hybird file, here at work. I install at home. So you install the .114 on the computer, but not on the phone, then you overwrite with the .114 hybird following your readme instructions, correct? Cool will do it tonight and report back my findings.

Of course, I have to walk through a few more steps to get my phone to work on AT&T, but it is all good! Just wish I could get the EDGE/edge problem corrected. Nothing seems to work on my Storm.
