Thread: A littlel help please? Hybrid issues.

at: I just uploaded v4 onto .132 and my computer is stuck at the "wait for device initialization" stage right before the "Restore Device Data" step. It's moving at a snails pace, and i mean SLOW! Any slower and it would be going in reverse! I came back into the room and there was a warning window popped up stating that a USB Device in a root hub is not recognized and it's my phone USB! It says to try reconnecting the USB but I can't unplug the phone until the process is over? I have done numerous upgrades and never had a problem, any ideas? My phone, while still plugged in is fully functional and all signals are connected but it has no contacts, calendar entries or previous messages etc. on it. Should, or could I just unplug it and do a restore or will I lose all that stuff that's missing now? Will unplugging it interfere with the install? Hep me...hep me sum body!:afro:

Wow... Hmm... I would think it should be fine to go ahead and unplug then restore, if the phone is running just fine, even tho it doesnt have the contacts, the OS is on your phone, just weird bout that error...

Yeah I'm very confused about it too. This has never happened before? Thanks for the info on the rest though, and the timely response. I'm still holding out hope that the process will complete. It's been about 75 minutes and the green bar is growing......kinda at the same speed as a blade of sideways grass!:lame:

Okay new update:" The application loader is unable to connect to the device. You may need to enter the password to reconnect to the device." Then a Retry and Close button. I hit the retry button and the popup disappeared. Now it's reloading the green bar and still waiting for device initialization. THWI I'm gonna unplug and try to restore. Sorry for the wasted thread, if you can delete it, please do.

if this doesnt do it.. try shutting down your computer and doing a batt pull onur phone physical one ...the retry
