Now this is the news I was waiting on. I didn't even bother trying .141 ....1- Cause v4 ROCKS and 2- I knew BBC wouldn't be too far behind with another one of his AMAZING hybrids.
BBC, I know u see it a lot esp here on BBOS, but all the hard work u put in to these hybrids is greatly appreciated.

V4 has been so so so stable..I have not had to do any battery pulls and its been running for days...perfect perfect....i could careless about the official release...even when it comes out I'm sticking to my hybrid...

I wonder how this Hybird will treat the Tmobile network. So hard to find a OS that can hold a EDGE connection. The .90 radio sucks. :/ but hey cant wait to see whats in store for us now... I think I'm addicted!

I am having great results on ATT with v4 and the .90 radio. It has been better than v3.5.1 for me. I am with you though on RIM getting us something that works equally as well on Verizon and holds a GSM EDGE signal as well.

I was running strong till today... I wake up and I cant get a EDGE connection... its pissing me off! lol I am doing 3 battery pulls to see if that fixes it. But no matter what, it takes about 15 min to even go from edge to EDGE after a battery pull. Weird huh?:bsflag::hmmm:

The problem is that RIM specified this particular phone for VZW which only uses CDMA in the US. It is not intended to use GSM here in the states so this why so many unlocked Storm users are having issues. In Europe and other countries the Storm switches to GSM but they are on a different bandwidth then we use here in the US. So it's not really anyones fault as the 9530 was never intended to run on GSM here in the US.

willl 4 load on my .141 install folder? Until 5 comes out that is

Has anyone had any problems with the menu key? Sometimes it works the first time but for the most part it alway launches the application switch option. I know if I press the menu key long enough that's suppose to happen. But this happens no matter what. So when I want the menu for whatever application I'm in I have to keep trying it. Any suggestions would be heatlt appreciated. Thanks for the great work.

Justin, try lowering the touch sensitivity level in your options. I had the same problem and it turned out I was hitting it to hard. After lowering the setting, It worked better.

I certainly understand this. My issue is why did the .90 radio work fairly well and none after that have? Maybe RIM is trying to kill the GSM use and crossover from Verizon.

It's very possible that could be the case but I am not as to the exact reasons why. .90 as well as .75 worked fine with GSM. So perhaps GSM users will have to wait until the next official release from them as those all seem to have cooperated with GSM users.

Justintime, I've experienced this very thing but have found if you touch the screen anywhere before hitting the menu key it will act as 'normal' - hee

Hmm, maybe I will have to try that .75 radio.. Might increase the overall speed. It gets quite annoying when it freezes at certain parts.

I will definitely try this..I checked the sensitivity as suggested but I haven't changed it and it just started happening after 3.5 and has continued with 4.0..I will touch the screen first then try...thanks again..I will post again...

An an FYI .75 is much slower than .90. IF you think .90 is slow .75 is several steps backwards. But it does have a solid radio for GSM uers.
