Build a hybrid suggestions/questions
Ok so I have questions about it and I am sure some of you do. Lyri, first I LOVE THIS but for some of us like me that dont know what the differnt .cod files do or what some of the different things do on your build a hybrid.
could you in the included text with your program...give a brief description of what things do, not like camera or keyboard or bluetooth. but like plazmic, i kinda get phone api butnot really there are the obvious but is there any way or even just a quick post here i really have no idea what plazmic does... anything would be great i love the app though love it
Hey guys, my first post but i've been around here for a while, and have alot of respect for u all... anyways i had a big problem with build a os earlier today. I installed and ran the program, selected lyricdals presets, and only changed the selections from 5.0 to .141. I built it on top of my V4 file (maybe thats what went wrong?), and fixed MMS, screenlock and quicklaunch, shrunk it and loaded it onto my storm. Everything completed without any issues, until my phone booted up. Everything was black and white, and on the top it said "Blackberry os 4.0.0.xxx" instead of 4.7. I got nothing but errors and nothing would run. I spent hours trying to fix everything and even tried to use it again, and nothing worked until i wiped my phone and reinstalled V4. I dunno what happened, build a os is a great idea, and well put together, so i must assume i made a mistake but i cant figure it out. Ive been installing beta os's and hybrids since i got the phone so i'm sure i'm doing that part right so yeah... any ideas?
Sorry to hear this. I will do some research and either myself or someone from the BBOS team will get back to you.
Did you receive any error messages at all during Build-A-Hybrid
it seems to me like a file didn't get downloaded or something in the process of building it and caused your install to be screwed up
will have a look and test after work tonight, sorry you bricked your Storm!
Its all good man, I got no errors and waited till the completed msg box popped up. Everything seemed to have worked right. U could b right tho, I was thinkin my wifi coulda cut out during the process or something. Would that show an error?
It's unlikely that having your wifi cutoff during the install process would have any negative effect. Sounds like either two files are not agreeing with one another or perhaps you by accidently deleted an important file (such as the default theme).
