Apparently someone with .141 reported his findings after 5 hours of usage and honestly I'm not impressed. If this is indeed what .141 will be I'll be sticking with v4.

you wont be the only one sticking to it

i can see a nice little verizon .141 / 5.0 in my future if this would be released. Just waiting for the 9630 tour to drop and ill be getting that. Hey just think there up to 4.7.0.2xx with the builds lots of leaks could drop.

The Java files for .141 were provided by someone over at CB. I have posted them on the front page should you want to download them.

I'm going hang back and wait for the radio file. I noticed when i read his findings over at CB he didn't mention the radio aspect of it. So far i love the .132 / 5.0 time will tell.

Getting the radio file off your phone and onto your PC is actually quite difficult (unlike the Java files). I would have to confirm with BBcrackman, but obtaining the radio file might have to wait until the full OS is either released officially or leaked.

I have a question and I was not able to find an answer doing a search. I am a verizon user and I have downloaded the beta OS's and am currently on .132. When (IF) verizon sends the official update will I be able to download straight to that or do I need to downgrade to .75 then up to .141 (or whatever they drop?) Thank you very much for the patience with this question.

not sure if i would do OTA upgrade but you can update via the full install just follow the link download and install you will be fine. There are help topics on installing the OS if need be or just ask any of us or the mods.

That is what I figured because I have been installing the leaks and beta's without downgrading first but didn't know if this was different.

Rumor has it that VZW's upgrade will be OTA only and that we will not see a full .exe file for this for some time. I have read reports that say you need to downgrade to .75 to upgrade via OTA and other reports say you do not. I will try to figure this out and give you a definitive answer.

yeah thats shady of vzw IMO. why cant they let us download it? its not like we will "share" it it will be out for all so its not like someone can leak it. second i think if you have to be on .75 to do this thats ridiculous. vzw sucks sometimes!!!

Even if VZW doesn't make it available for download, wont RIM be able too once VZW gives the thumbs up?

Yah, but Verizon could leave out the link to send you to RIM. Either way we will get an .exe from someone and downgrading the OS isn't that big of a deal either.

I went to read the findings on CB and I'm sticking with v4 until some of the things that were said are overcome (that lock issue kinda defeats the purpose).

Shane resolved the lock issue. He posted a fix for that.

No, RIM does not release official OS's, that's up to the individual carrier. RIM releases the OS's to independent testers which is how we see leaks. But if VZW doesn't release this OS you won't be seeing it coming from RIM (unless of course it gets leaked).

I went to CB, and ATTEMPTED to read that thread.... holy shit batman... 5 pages of flaming later... i found a few actual statements about the actual OS! Thank god...( BBOS "god" that is) For makin THIS forum!
Anyways... Im stickin with BBC's Hybrids... Verizon is stuck so far up thier own ass we may never see what we need for this phone!
