Verizon to push out a new OS update for the Storm? : Boy Genius Report
begin.
EDIT: sorry guys wrong sub-thread.
It would be nice if this were true because ever since Saturday I can't make calls using a leaked OS so I've been forced to stick with .75 and right now Im miserable.
I will not hold my breath for it, but it would be a nice surprise :)
I tried everything. Wiping, battery pull and nothing works now. I've used leaked OS's in the past without any big issue. But now they won't work properly so I have to stick with .75 in the mean time.
...especially when the report begins with...
"We’re not too sure how much truth there is behind this one, but..."
it was reported on multiple threads over at crackberry before it was on BGR
Can you give more details on your problem? You shoud at least be able to install .122 from Bell or Telus, as long as you delete vendor.xml. Just a thought
EDIT: id like to see this .201 or whatever is the supposed latest build.... I think they are doing this to make us suffer lol
Yeah, some reliable sources on CB are saying stuff. Of course, those who really know can't say enough to officially confirm anything. BUT, they have hinted that *something* is up. We just don't know what. 141 has been thrown around, but hints at other things have as well.
Really, when it's all said and done, we won't know until we see it on our own devices. VZW could roll this out in stages to different users and it could take hours for us to see it on our own devices...
And the .exe link may not be posted for a while until after the OTA upgrades, in hopes of stopping their servers from getting slammed TOO hard...
I've heard the "hints" before over at CB, and none of them came to fruition, except the .75 release, which was what, 5 months ago?. That's even more reason not to believe it.
I will believe it when it is sitting on my phone and I don't have to delete the vendor.xml file when installing lol
To be honest with you, id rather download the Leaks that keep comming. Waiting on Verizon to drop something official is like waiting untill Im 50. And mind you Im 25 lol
