Crackman Hybrid v4 Findings Thread

installed v4. everything is awesome. but i still only have 3 bars. did the 3 batt pulls, did the *22899. any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Go to manage settings on you phone does it say Global, 1XEV or GSM? Set it for 1XEV. Dial *228 option 2 the pull battery for 60 seconds. See if that helps.

is it true, some say it takes a day or two for the os to "settle in"? will this help the signal?

That's true but I am not sure about the signal. Try my suggestion out from the post above this.

Unlink JL, i never wipe lol but i loaded v4 over .132

question is does it really affect it a lot? like if you use .113 or .132 doesnt the hybrid just overwrite the files anyways?

or if that fails, you could always try going to manage connections turning off your network, do a battery pull and go back and turn network back on

True Brian shouldn't matter. I just happen to have .132 on my PC at the time. Any OS will work just stay away from installing over .114 and .122.

yea it does overwrite the files, im gonna wipe and reinstall my new phone tuesday when it gets here

thanks. wasnt trying to be a smart arse was just curious really...and i got a clean .113 on my comp just itching haha...straight .132 was ify in the long run for me and i used .113 for 3.5 so i figured id give that a shot again.

which raises the question, is 113 better or 132 better to add the 4.0 on..or it doesnt matter..Although I think some of the files may be different on one than the other, after the merge

Should not matter. The important files will change the irrelevant ones will not like (Docs to go, etc). Whichever one you have your PC go with. I installed over .132 and knock on wood, everything is fantastic so far.

I've been running v4 for about 12 hours and here are my initial findings (this coming from straight .132)

1. Radio is fantastic. Straight .132 sucked for me I was always getting 1X now I get 1XEV with a full 5 bars.
2. Battery, WOOOOOWWWWWW. I started the day with 75% and with pretty good usage am only down to 50%
3. Accelerometer is great.
4. Memory is fantastic. Started off at 48.1mb and am now settling in the low 40's, which is much better than .132 was or v3.5
5. Browser is very fast
6. Camera is the fastest yet
7. MMS is working properly
8. Everything in general seems snappy

I give this hybrid a 9.9. If it had the nacho dispenser it would be a perfect 10.

I have v4 installed since about 6am... and I am going to give it a 10 bc if you click options>advanced options>applications>nacho dispenser it ironically enough dispenses nachos!

Nope

No it does not. Only .90 had the larger keyboard but it was very unstable.
