Thread: Not able to view PDF's with 3.5 os

I have upgraded from .75 to 3.5 -.109 and now I cannot view PDF's, is there something I missed or are PDF's not viewable on 3.5?

Were you able to previously? I thought that you need an app to view PDF's.

I was able view PDF's that were attached to email's with Verizon's .75 OS. Then when I upgraded to the new 3.5 OS I cannot view PDF's. I know there are 3rd party apps to purchase, but I really do not want to spend the money.

I'm not saying you couldn't before, but I couldn't view PDF's that were attached to an email. I had to purchase a third party app. to see them.

Striker951, thats what I read in a post somewhere. I never tried it before, but I know doesn't work for me now with 3.5.1 which uses .90 sfi. I'm not sure if the .cods or the .sfi file controls this.

Yes you can view PDF's no problem on our BB without any third party apps. You need the Blackberry attachment service which you can load through DM. Run DM go to update software then scroll down the list of apps. Make sure the check mark next to BB attachment service is checked. This will allow you to view PDF's on your BB.

hmm. i did not no bb could view pdf's right out of the box...learn something new everyday lol

you can also unzip a zip file without a 3rd party app.
