Correct, BBC will be using the radio code from .132 for v4.

Can you just run the 3.5 installer over .132 to get the same results? The only thing I have in version 3.5 is the .exe file. How do you get just the java files out of that?

Yes, you can install v3.5 into 132, no you wont get the same results as v4. If you want to get just the java files, extract the hybrid to your desktop. It will put the cdma, java folder and all the alx files on your desktop.

Question on the V4 what Radio are you using and whats in the mix inside the Java folders? Just curious? opcorn:

I may be wrong but I believe its .132 radio file. As far as what COD's, I can't answer that one. Thats all crackman if he wants to share

Thanks....dont want him to tell out his secrets or special Ingredients or anything like that just curious what OS's are involved? Did he ever throw in a little of 5.0 in the mix?

Its a combo of several OS's and yes it is the 132 sfi. I did not throw in any 5.0 files. Even though they seem to work, there will inherently be some conflict since the are for the Bold or Curve. I have run the 5.0 files and did not see any benefit to have those over what I have in v4.

It's easy to tell what OS's he used by either using Crackutil or checking the modules when you load the OS.

No he definitely did not throw in 5.0. That OS is specific to the Bold not the Storm.

Thanks! I hear so much about how some are having good experiences with 5.0 in the mix so was curious if BBCM would considering using some but he stated its not worth it and any different so makes sense!

Im no longer VIP and Monday and Tuesday Ill be out so will be limited to Internet to get it installed.

So to me it wont be until Wednesday. Well at least I can read about it tomorrow and see how it goes.

ditto. running low on funds due to military move coming up and im going to providence tomorrow to see WWE Backlash! so no v4 for me till monday afternoon at the earliest. this will be the first time since ive come here i cant get the hybrid right away.

well as long as you got work thats a huge plus right now! thats why im thankful to be in the military. only way to get fired is to do something very very stupid/illegal.

Anyone actually give this a try? i am totally loving it, havent had any problems with it so far and mem leak is gone and battery life is beter than it was with .122 full os, and noticable improvements over v3.5. Would like to hear feedback on what you guys think of this one? i was going to start making hybrids, but i cant really compete with BBC :blackeye: so this is what i came up with, and i really like it. from the few findings ive found its not getting bad reviews.

Basically for non VIP this is as close to v4 as you will get, untill public release, and for those wondering what modules BBC uses in his builds, when you update your phone using loader, click on Blackberry core applications or whatever it is and go to Details, under the modules tab. It will tell you exactly what versions are being used where.

(I always use shrink-a-os before install, even though i dont usually install alot of the stuff it removes. that way its guaranteed not to be on there, and for some reason i get improved memory from the start when using it.)

I concur. I find it silly to run 5.0 files on the storm, even though some of the hardware they control could be similar or exactly the same, they are still different devices. Once 5.0 is leaked for storm, then we will cross that bridge

Do us a favor, remove the battery and look at the sticker that is attached to the wall of the battery housing. It should say where it was manufactured. I've had several replacement storms and the ones made in Canada were all bad. the I received one manufactured in Mexico and it clicked great. Curious to see if yours was also made in Mexico.
