    Ginoberry,
Not at all certain what you've done with that loader file. I don't think you've actually installed a new OS on your phone. Sounds like possibly all you've done is load it onto your computer, which is only the first step in updating an OS. I'd suggest you go through this website. There are helpful sticky's on updating an operating system which you'll want to read and understand completely...otherwise, you run a large risk of making your phone inoperable.

My only goal now is to suggest a way for you to restore your contacts. So, ABSOLUTELY - YES! Install the Desktop Manager software!
Hook up your phone, run desktop Manager and go to the backup /restore option. choose restore. browse for that loaderbackup file you mentioned (hopefully it is there) and follow the prompts.
Hope this works for you and you get your contacts back.

He is correct, install desktop manager then
Plug in you bberry to to your computer. On your computer go to start> all programs> Blackberry> Desktop Manager click on it. A black window should open, Blackberry Desktop Manager after it checks for updates click on Backup and Restore, 3 sections will come up click Restore a window will open with your old backup files in it. find the latest one and make sure its the .ipd click on it click open and it should start automatically.

My .132 is till going strong with ZERO issues. No random reboots and signal strength is better.

Hey guys I just want to post this again so it's clear cause it worked and if one of the mod's sees this could you update the op to state this? It is a known issue with this leak that after you update your PRL(*228) you will need to do a battery pull just like when you do it with a 'dumb' phone it resets. Some think it is a huge draw back but for me the way this puppy runs and boots hell I'll take it. So again do your *228 opt 1 and 2 then do a batt pull and you wont see the 1x 1X 1xev 1XEV. I've done this and can testify to it.
