Thread: Help loading new operating software

I have downloaded 4.7.0.122. My desktop Manager does not recognize any upgraded software.
I am still running 4.7.0.075. So I went to the Loader.exe file and the same problem.
I am currently using Windows 7 and have followed all the recommendations for resolving the USB issues, deleted the Vendor.xml file and still nothing.
Is there anything else I can try or do I just have to wait until Verizon realeases the official upgrade over the air?

go to C>Programfile>commonfiles>RIM>Apploader delete the vendor.xml file the use the loader.exe in that file

I have done that several times and still doesn't work.
I can't tell you how frustrated I am with this.

Ok you downloaded .122, did you install it onto your computer?

Yes

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling DM the solution

It only seems to show the apps I have already installed on my blackberry.

I have also done that a few times.
even upgraded to version 5 DM and reinstalled 122.
still nothing

Ok you can try goin through apploader again, and when it shows you the list of everything being up/downgraded, removed or install, hit the browse button and the follow the directions through all the files and when you get to the shared folders, open .122 and highlight everything and hit open and see what it says.

I have the same issue...except I'm trying to downgrade from .122 3.5. All I get in the apploader are my apps and no option to alter the OS

What OS are you downgrading to? You try the option i posted on my last post, ive done that a few times and it worked...

Trying to get back to 3.5 .113. I'll try your suggestion and see what happens.

I highlighted everything in the 9530-v4.7.0.122_P4.0.0.153 folder and the error message was "application is not compatible with your device"

Hmmm... maybe reboot the computer, i have never came across this happening..

I've done that too.
I think I'll just wait for the official 113 version and download it over the air.
I really don't want to go back to Windows Vista from Windows 7, too much of a hassle.

I'm thinking Windows 7 isn't your problem. I have had this happen with .122. I had to use Crackmem to "brick the phone" first. It wipes the phone of the OS and forces Apploader to install new os.

I tried this and got the same thing. Not sure what else to do. Probably just wait unitl BB v 4.0 comes out at the end of the week and load that up. Thanks for the pointers.

When you look in your control panel, Is it installed?

You should have at least two; Desktop software & Device software. Check that

I see both installed.
