Guide to install 5.0.0.428 onto 9500

    Hi,

I have just installed 9550's 5.0.0.428 onto my 9500. Here is the step. There is no visual difference with 9500's 5.0.0.425 but newer OS is running on the phone.

    1. Install 9500's 5.0.0.425
    2. Install 9550's 5.0.0.428
    3. copy the content of 9550's 5.0.0.428 java folder into 9500's 5.0.0.425 java folder
    4. rename net_rim_theme_precision_zen_360_480_t_04.cod to net_rim_theme_precision_zen_360_480_t.cod
    5. wipe your device with BBSAK
    6. launch apploader and install the os.

ABOUT will show BlackBerry 9500 smartphone (3G) v5.0.0.428 (Platform 4.2.0.179) and all the modules will be 5.0.0.428 except the two files above.

    Enjoy ...

    exactly!

trying to get screen shot of it, but don't know how.
i have been using it for 4.5 hrs and the memory is holding at 41.1mb.

don't know if this is only me or everyone else is having the same problem, but everytime i browse, not long after that, my memory seems to be going down so quick. i have tried not to use the browser for 20 hrs and the memory is holding within 1mb below the initial. but as soon as i browse, it goes down below 5-6mb in no time. :aargh4:

Do you have Quicklaunch on your phone? or BBSAK or JLCMDR?
