    Arrow Build-A-Hybrid by lyricidal

Been working on this for a few hours

    http://www.theiexplorers.com/bb/Build-A-Hybrid.rar
    http://www.theiexplorers.com/bb/Build-A-Hybrid.exe (EXE Only)

Look for a How-To at Professor BM's Blackberry Tips and Tricks
    Its exactly as it says.
    Build your own hybrid!
Extract the .rar anywhere you'd like.
    Run Build-A-Hybrid.exe.
Browse for your main OS Install folder, not the Java or CDMA.
    Then:
Choose the version of each item under each title.
Once all are chosen, click Build My Hybrid! All of the original files will be moved to "OrigBackup" (in your Java folder) before the new files are downloaded from my web server to that same Java folder.
(If you think its frozen, just wait it out. Chances are its downloading the files. Wait for the message box!)
Once its done downloading, you will get a message box stating so.
Run Loader.exe to update your phone, and enjoy your new mix of files

Please don't nuke your berry in the process of using this tool. If you don't know what you are doing, PLEASE ask!

My current and recommended set-up: (Likely to change as I come across things)
App Mgr, Browser, Process Launcher - 5.0
Phone, Keyboard, Bluetooth, Camera, Video, Plazmic, Stock Theme - 148
    Radio - .148
    Lock - 148
    + .148 Quick Launch Fix

    Change Log:
    V3.8 - Added .148 + .148 Quick Launch Fix
V3.7 - Changed Fix buttons to checkboxes for easier usage/inclusion in the hybrid making process, now shows you're added languages/fixes with the Build Breakdown, added recommended 9500 settings, enlongated Browse box for more visibility
V3.6 - Redesigned to the Drop Down menu method, added new options (Fonts, Voice, Media, BIS), and Build Breakdown before you build it
V3.5 - fixed progress bar, added status bar for more updates on what the app is doing, minor fixes
V3.4 - Added GPS option, and option to add language/keyboard support for Arabic, Hebrew, Russian to any OS version
V3.3 - Added "Add All 5.0 Files" button, as well as COD Breakdown button
V3.2 - Will not freeze while downloading the files now, so you are able to use the other buttons if you need to, 141 radio
V3.1 - Added Lock Function choices and 141 options
V3.0 - Updated to work with 9500 users, also added settings for V4 and myself

I AM LOOKING FOR MORE SUGGESTIONS!

Heres what the GUI looks like:

Added support for different keyboard versions, Phone Files, App Console, Process Launcher, Stock Theme
Radio file part is still broken for the time being, working on it right now
    V 1.0 is up

jnepsa, what steps did you take?
download it, extract it or drag/drop to your Current Java folder
run it, choose a radio button under each category (Radio File isn't working yet) and click Build
    then launch Loader.exe

Did you choose one button under each category?
Did you run it from your Java folder? Did you get a message box after you clicked Build My Hybrid that said it was done?

I posted this over in CB but I will post again just so everyone knows YOU ARE THE MAN! Used Shrink when installing .122 over .113 and what a difference. I did delete the default font ran for about a week, then had to put the font back on there LOL. The one thing I did not notice was when I put the default font back on I lost the bigger keys (do to the font the phone was using), but oh well now I can read again. Keep up the great work and can't to try your Build a hybrid.

the radio code question: its broken in that app, for the time being I recommend use Swap-A-Radio to change your radio til I fix it

I could give it a shot, what do ya need?

bmtenney: thanks a lot Glad my tools are useful to you. Hope you like this one too!

radio file will not be affected by this app just yet (til I fix it) so yeah, you can just leave your .113 radio as is, and build just the Java

    as for the .cod list
I've been thinking about this and have had a few people ask so maybe its something I can start on

and thanks lol, now if only I could get on the RIM team and start leaking
