Thread: need help updating the os

i just unlocked my storm and was wondering if updating the os to newest release will lock it back up. What are the steps to update to newest os as I would like to do that asap. I have had some problems and have read that the version of os I'm using is the cause for all the heartache. I would like to get a step by step to do this as painless as possible thank you

First off what carrier did you unlock it to. Your best bet is to try and install 4.7.0.90 as this is the best OS for holding a stable EDGE connection.

well i have an iphone thats unlocked so i would like to switch sim cards from one phone to the other

Then use 4.7.0.90. That will probably work best for you.
