Thread: option to disable the screen push button for a full on touch screen in an update?

Does anyone think they will include an option to disable the screen push button for a full on touch screen in an update?

Pretty sure all apps would have to have this option implemented too.

Or maybe if they just allowed this option for keyboard only.

no way. this was a big feature for the storm. i dont ever see this happening.

no... thats what makes the storm a first of its kind if it didnt have that you could have bought any windows mobile iphone, out there. I dont know why you would have bought it if it wasnt something that you liked.....more people like it because you are not constanly hitting a wrong key my opinon anyhow

I agree, I doubt RIM would do this. And even if they did I think it would require both hardware and software changes. But I can't really see this being available in Storm 2 as this was the big selling point of the Storm.

agreed if you dont want the click, go to iphone. thats why rim designed it like that, is cause touch screens are hard to type cause you lose that bond with the phone so u dont no if you typed something sometimes

plus its like another button. cause with the iphone if you tap it you select it ans sometimes you didnt want that app or something. with this if u highlight, it does just tat highlights. then you click to select so you can see what your clicking before you actually click
