is it the radio code or the java files that make an os faster

It would be the sfi (radio) that makes the build faster

hmm hmm ok i have some tinkering to do.. there were a couple things about .75 i liked being able to silence the ringer no matter what profile you were on with the press of button was one of them...now just which one lmao

Some of the .8x builds was easy to silent, i just dont remember which ones... I'm thinking that .86 was the first build to have this happen or maybe even .90

Here's an update; the file you are looking for to silence the ringer is contained in the sfi file. So the only way to achieve what youre looking to do is to go back to either .75 or possibly .86. If you do that with the current hybrid files it may not be compatible.

darn that stinks....for me im running the 5.0 hybrid and its working again soo im not sure. i just kinda want to tinker....ne suggestions on stuff to stay away from bb?

edit- i think im going to stay the hell away til im 100% about this stuff just wish i understood it better would love to be able to do this or even be a beta tester or guiena pig

Well the worse that will happen is you will brick your phone and that's not that hard to fix. Most of us learned what we did by trial and error. So have some fun with it

It's fun to be a test/guina pig, like JL said, its easy to fix a bricked berry!

One thing for sure is that BBC is the master of disaster. That is why he is a site official and I'm apart of the lowly help team

It's hard to say where the break occurs but from I've seen radio codes of .90 and above seem to work ok with newer java files.

yeah the java should copy over the newer ones, as long as the same files are there

lol i have only ever run .75 .113 .114v3 v3.5 and 5.0 hybrid so i guess im just trying to figure out which things are better any why from what build that would be nice to know what the diff in the java files are smaller faster ??? ne suggestions and then im going to go work a bit lol:nutkick:

oh yea and can i just take like ones that say browser and the browser from that edition will be there or will there be much more than that?

it would be really awesome to know what some of the cod files that arent self explaing are and what they are related to i really wish i was smarter but im pretty sure im going to waste my time and be a retard
