    unlocking a storm.

    Is there anyway after unlocking a storm it would work on the sprint network. I have a storm avail to me but I am a sprint customer not a verizon cust. Any help would be great help.

    I dont believe that any phone that is not a sprint phone will work on sprint.

    that is not cool. we can do everything else with our phones but we can't share networks.

    GSM is a type of technology some carriers use for their cellular network. CDMA is another type of cellular technology. There are two types of cellular networks in North America. GSM, and CDMA. Carriers such as AT&T, and T-Mobile use GSM. Where as carriers such as Verizon and Sprint use CDMA.

    so even with verizon and sprint being on the same GSM network it won't work. I don't know alot about tech stuff but it seems strange to me. thanks for the info.

    No it won't. CDMA carriers are more restrictive about who uses their network. They generally will not activate a device branded for another carrier on their network. It's not impossible, but convincing the carrier to do it is close to impossible.

    well you guys I appreciate the info. I guess I will stick with my curve 8330m for now until something new with a touch screen comes out. Not that I have a choice in it seeing how I am a big fan of sprint and don't see myself switching anytime soon. Do either of you know when or where I can get a newer os for the 8330m. I currently have 4.5.0.175
