Has anyone had a problem with opening an email attachment on .132/5.0? Blackberry Attachment Service is installed. When attempting to open an attachment I receive the following message: "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device". The file type is jpg.

I'm running this hybrid but not having that issue. I've encountered it in the past when upgrading.

When you installed the new OS, are you certain you checked the "Blackberry Attachment Service" box? If not, you may want to reinstall just to be sure. But try the suggestion in the next paragraph first. Blackberry Attachment Service probably won't be in the list in the following step if you didn't check the box or it may not have installed correctly.

On your device do: options>advanced options>applications>look for Blackberry Attachment Services (should be near top of list)>highlight it,>Blackberry button>edit default permissions >User Data> and make certain you are set to "Allow" in the User Data section. In fact, expand that User Data section and be certain everything is "Allow" Then BB button and save.
Pull battery, reboot and give it a go.

    Hope this works for you.

Still have the problem. AppLoader shows BAS installed, phone applications show BAS 4.7.0 installed, User Data all set to "Allow", battery pulled several times.

I'll try to uninstall and reinstall BAS.

Sounds like you may need to resort to reinstalling the OS if all else fails. In my past experience with this issue, that was what ultimately solved the problem.
Oh, one other thing...if you haven't sent your service books, do give that a try as well. One additional thing that has worked for some is to delete your email account and then recreate it, send service books, reboot.

You know... that may be the problem. When I installed 132/5.0 I did not resend my email service books because I was able to receive email messages even though I did not have the email folders for each account on the phone.

    Lyricidal, can you confirm?

We need to download it again and it's .141 now? Have you updated the installation procedure commentary?

well, nothing to lose, everything to gain...
Unfortunately, I have no other suggestions to offer up....hopefully the service books will do the trick or deleting/recreating the email accounts. I do recall going through that process. In the end, one or a combination of all things suggested solved the problem. I send the service books routinely on every install just to be sure. Hope it works for you.
