I didn't have the dropping memory issue when I last tried it out (a week or two ago), but had to go back to Crackman's hybrid because The Missing Sync kept crashing on me on these hybrids. Any other Mac users out there that use Missing Sync and been able to get it to work with this hybrid? I was using the latest and greatest release of Missing Sync that came out recently ... Wonder if it hooks into some API stuff that's changed b/n 4.7.x and 5.0.x ....

I have use the same program on my Mac to sync and have not had any issues with getting it to work. Perhaps try reinstalling Missing Sync.

interesting ... i tried uninstalling and reinstalling Missing Sync on my BB numerous times, but when i rebooted the phone, it would lag like crazy, giving me the clock animation off and on until it gave me an uncaught exception error ... phone worked fine after that, but obviously i couldn't sync at that point, since Missing Sync crashed ... :grumble:

Have you tried turning mass storage mode off?

Hmm, that I don't think I tried, because it gives warnings in the sync log saying that syncing will be faster for photos and music if mass storage is turned on ... if i have time, i'll reinstall and give that a shot

Let us know if it works. If not there are other things we can try.

OK here are my numbers running this hybrid today with no battery pulls and slight usage. Notice the dip in memory (wasn't using the phone for about an hour) but picked up memory pretty good with usage. This is with berryweather running but update time changed to 3 hours.

You mention NO battery pulls. Does this mean you installed the OS and didn't pull the battery at all after installing or no battery pulls during the test period you reported above?
If you did no battery pulls at all, you may want to do a few battery pulls immediately after the OS install and see if things change for you. My experience has been that it makes a significant difference on the intial memory numbers and possibly (not certain) on the OS ability to manage memory.
The battery drop numbers (average ~8%/hr???) look a little on the high side given you report "slight usage". On the other hand, if you made several longish phone calls (indicated possibly by the larger % dips in batt log) during that period, it's a bit more reasonable but still seems a little high. I'm curious what your typical signal strength (dBm) is as reported by MeterBerry (it typically varies so a range would be useful)?
